My only problem is the clock rundown. I have it turned off. Yet, it still runs down to 20.

I'm not understanding everyone's interception problems. Cam, in my franchise so far has about a 1:1 td:int ratio, about like real life.

Are you guys backpedaling your QBs 25 yards and heaving to the WR who is farthest upfield, like everyone did on Madden 5 years ago?

No I let the computer do the drop back, then I take over after the QB bounces into position. I scramble a little to avoid pressure, but I don't run 10 yards backwards.

My TD:Int ratio is much better than 1:1 (it's at least 2:1), but the interceptions I do throw bug the hell out of me. They're almost always the DB/LB reacting to a ball they simply shouldn't get.

The latest one: DRC was covering Salas in the flat in the cover 2. Pilares was in the slot uncovered, so I sent him on a streak. I took a three step drop then fired it to Pilares' outside shoulder (cos the safety was over the top). DRC came out of NOWHERE to pick it off. I mean he covered 10 yards whilst the throw (which was a frozen rope) was in the air, whilst reacting to Salas' out route. Just utter madness.

I'm about to trade this to Amazon for like 35 bucks. Really paid 40 for it, since I got 20 bucks to amazon. The linebacker INTs ARE insane and there is a ton of people complaining. Can't find a good slider configuration either. With CoD MW3 and BF3 dropping, I won't be playing it anyway. I was overall disappointed with this game.

Some of the graphics look cheesy and animations. The announcers are terrible, the audio is bad. They can't name of the players "Here comes the quarterback". I had better commentators on Gameday 98' on PS1. Things that I expect to not be issues in this generation, are. That is what happens when you have no competition. We won't see any great football games till 2kSports is back making them.

Idk if I should buy this game. I would really like to play with Newton as our QB. I havent played Madden for a few years. I can get it for 40 bucks on ebay. Im just not sure If i would enjoy it.

True, but ratings were different back then. They're supposed to be more conservative now with less 90+ players.

They say its supposed to be but its really not, especially if you play franchise. Originally when they changed the whole ratings around it was supposed to be that anyone 90+ was supposed to be elite(one of the best in the nfl) at their position. Case in point, almost every team has at least one player that is 90+.

Madden ratings are most definitely pointless. I like how NBA 2K8 rated their players. Wish Madden would go that route, but they don't want to upset anyone...effin fanboys.

Perhaps only one or two players at each position should be in the 90s, no more than that. It would truly let the elite players shine like they do on Sundays.
