gonna pass on this game for the 2nd year in a row.

I play the game but I am pissed I caved and bought the game. All the problems from 11 are still present in this game. Didn't fix a single thing for online play. (which is what I play for the most part 18-15 overall)

Pass interference does not exist. DBs can still literally jump through WRs for ints and nothing gets called. Oh and when 3rd string safeties get 1 handed picks over Steve Smith durng 1 on 1 coverage it makes you want to break something.

Enough ranting, why the hell did Jason Baker get a decrease?

The interceptions are ridiculous - defensive players change direction on a dime to react to the ball. Plus they all have 40 verts.

Jason Baker is known as a directional punter... aka accurate. His rating probably dropped because of those punts from the 35 that were either TDs or touchbacks. Lower rating probably reflects his inability to nail the coffin corner.

And to fix the other problems, play with the sliders. Minimum speed threshold is usually a good one. Third string safeties will no longer run step for step with Steve Smith. The game ships at the default dumbed down for the masses mode.

The most maddening thing in Madden is when linebackers stop on a dime and jump up to either pick or knock down a bullet throw that would have been behind them. Oh and safeties turning and running deep with a receiver and then you throw the ball to a tight end underneath and they use magic inutition to stop and turn and come back for a pick. Arg.

Ive been a die hard madden fan for a long time, but I stopped playing online games after 09, way too much cheese.(guys would put corners with 99 speed at WR, run go routes and burn my best corner for TDs everytime) fug that nonsense.

Everyone is looking to exploit that one blitz that works every time or that one play that is a touchdown every time. Where as I would just like to play a good old fashioned game of pigskin.

I stick to offline multi team franchises now with my buddies, because we actually know the game of football and play it the right way.

Pretty much. The game is just bad. I played my last online match tonight for a while. What is the point of a button to cover he ball if you are going to fumble anyway. Not even from a big hit. Every game I play is beyond laggy. I can't throw the ball because pass int is never called when it should be almost every other throw. I just love when my WR moonwalks in place while the DB stands there blocking his route and then picks off the ball if I throw to him and then there is no penalty called.

The game is flat out broken no other way to explain it.

My only problem is the clock rundown. I have it turned off. Yet, it still runs down to 20.

I'm not understanding everyone's interception problems. Cam, in my franchise so far has about a 1:1 td:int ratio, about like real life.

Are you guys backpedaling your QBs 25 yards and heaving to the WR who is farthest upfield, like everyone did on Madden 5 years ago?

Personally, I edit my own rosters and use a more conservative system. I try not to over-rate players and generally lowered every player by 5 points or so.
