How can you be unhappy being number 2 to Miller through 3 games. The linebacker position is simple compared to mastering the quarterback position just like running back is likely the easiest. Both are instinctive and relatively easy to become proficient although reaching all pro status is another thing altogether.

But for a guy who was going to take 2-3 years to simply start, seems he is pretty far ahead of expectations. I am fine with number 2 right now.

This is why this guys rankings are a joke. His preseason rookie watch didn't even have Newton in the top 10. Newton wasn't even listed as a notable... and guess who sat at #1? Von Miller. I think this guy just has a hard on for Von Miller even if Von Miller doesn't have a great game. And he keeps pointing out negatives for Cam Newton instead of all of the great things that he has done.

I don't have a problem with Cam being #2. I would take issue with the idea that "it isn't even close". It isn't like Denver is 3-0 or that Miller has been dominant. He has made a handful of splash plays (two FF basically).

They can be perrenial all-pros and potential HOFers, but if Cam becomes a top10 QB for the next 10-15 years, we still have the best player in the draft. Just ask the Dolphins if they had it to do over again in 2008, if they would still take all-pro LT Jake Long or Matt Ryan.
