Pugh out, Stanford in

It cracks me up at how much information Rivera discloses about all matters. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, he's just as far away from Fox as a coach can get.

I've watched more Rivera press conferences this season from start to finish than in the entirety of Fox's tenure.

Same here. Every day (except Tuesdays) I head to Panthers.com to check them out.

I never watched Fox videos on Panthers.com because there was no point. The only thing worse was that Sunday morning pre-game interview they used to do with him about the upcoming opponent. It was painful to watch.

And it's not like Rivera is giving intelligence to our competitors. He has mastered how to be open and honest without insulting others or giving the opponents a leg up. Fox's interview responses were a window into his personality and that personality carried over into his strategy on game day...dull and predictable.

We make changes because we want to be able to match up defensively with Chicago's offense. I would agree that we want someone who is more of a natural cover guy. They both run a 4.4 -40. Pugh is 5'11" and Stanford is 5'10". Physically they are very similar is size and speed. Seems Stanford is better in man coverage than Pugh.
