I can search. What should i search for?

oh its not salacious or anything. just that i wanted an exec at bofa i know to pipe up in a town hall with higher execs and ask about book value and why was bofa allowed to pay back tarp.

he of course turned red then quietly confided in me that if bofa was revalued it would go under.

no worries tho

Im still with Wachovia. Its Wachovia still dammit.

Only reason I would go with BOA is Panthers banking....you get the cool card

If you do online bill-pay with Wachovia, they're getting ready to start withdrawing the funds five days in advance. I'll be moving my account to another institution.

Not to burst your bubble, but BofA does that.

I had my CC stolen a few months ago by someone who then bought $5000 worth of plane tickets. After a 5 minute phone call and filling out a one page document, had the entire thing cleaned from my statement. I don't love BofA, but I don't hate them either. I like having access to that many ATMs, too.

You guys are acting like $5 a month is some unbelievable price.

Stop being poor.

BOA does not print debit cards in the branch.

Yay they have basic fraud protection, party!!

$5 is a lot to some people, but thanks for helping perpetuate the "Meh what's $5 attitude", BOA loves people like you.

My beef with BOA involved $2k, so it was a bit more serious.

Stop being a condescending douche

I stopped using wachovia's bill pay years ago, when they converted to the current system they are using. I still have accounts there, and use their debit card because its a lot more convenient with a lot more branches and ATM's. But I have my bill paying money direct deposited into the credit union because their bill pay is much better imo.

But if I had to switch to the Credit Union's ATM's, I would spend a lot more than $5 bucks in gas driving to those ATM's, thats why the banks are a lot more convenient. There is an Wachovia ATM a mile from my house, the nearest credit union ATM is 6-8 miles away.

Regarding the fees, merchants were paying about 50 cents or so per debit card transaction, if you signed for it instead of entering your pin. Due to changes in govenrment regulations, those same merchants are only paying 12 cents or so per transaction. I wonder if they will pass the savings on to the customer.

The government forced the banks to stop charging the merchants, so now that cost gets passed on to the customer. Thank god the government "fixed" that problem. :)

They have met with all their employees and ask them to think "fee not free". Take a look and try to find the things they do often for free and to put on a fee for that. Fat cats got to get they big bonuses from somewhere. I will predict that most customers are too stoopid to leave and will stay right there and start yelling to limit the exec pay. Hey folks, yall got the power to do it with out involving the politicians.
