Since Jake's contract is up after this season, who will be our QB in 2010?

Yeah Just like Peete was his guy in 2002. He never replaces a quarterback.

Oh wait..........

:icon_bs:

He was never really Fox's "guy" like Jake was and is. I mean, Peete was actually pulled at halftime of Game 1 in '03. There's ZERO chance of Fox ever doing something like that to Jake on Opening Day. ZERO chance. Doesn't matter how awful he was in the first half.

If jake isn't extended or resigned next season then I'd expect them to give the reigns over to McCown.

Good God I hope not. McCown was a complete loser in Arizona. That's when he had Boldin and Fitzgerald to throw to and he STILL couldn't put up decent numbers. No thanks. I'd take Moore any day over McCown.

Mark my word. McCown will never be a starting QB anywhere unless the guys in front of him get taken out for the season.

Unfortunately he's a fox guy, and you know how that goes. He's listed as the second qb on the chart ahead of Moore. So if it isn't Delhomme, expect McCown.

I'm sorry but Matt Moore is not the answer and will not be the starting QB in 2010. If the FO was sold that he was the answer wouldn't he have been the number 2 QB last season instead of them trading for McCown (which won't be the starting QB in 2010 either. See Arizona 2003-2005).

Unfortunatly this is not a good year for QBs in the draft. Pat White may be athleticly gifted but he is not going to be a good QB in this level. He is coming from a system where his options are one quick read and then run. He is better off becoming an Antwaan Randall-El type of player where his strengths are utilized as a WR and PR/KR. John Parker Wilson from Alabama has some talent and will be there probably in round 3 or 4. Rhett Bomar will be available in the later round. He has one heck of an arm but does have some flaws than need to be worked on.

Yeah. After all when Peete got pulled Delhomme was the second on the depth chart.

Oh wait....... he was third on the depth chart.............

Nevermind.

Oh really? I guess that wasn't Peete that was playing all of 2002 for Fox. Maybe he knew he was going to make a change given Jake's long history of starting and proven track record prior to 2003.

I guess adding a number 1 guy in David Carr wasn't a move to find a potential replacement since he obviously knew Jake had been hurt since 2005. After all Carr was just like Jake when he came here, no starting experience and simply a depth guy.

Oh Wait...............

Nevermind!

Yeah that's right. Moore was playing so poorly and was such a bad guy that I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that we traded for McCown a day after Matt Moore was injured in the last preseason game of the year. I am sure the injury had nothing to do with it and it was purely a coincidence.

Seems the addition was more an indictment of Basanez who was released than it was on Moore who is still here.
