Galvatron-welcome aboard. i think we have better talent and better chemistry on the o-line. consistency means a lot to offensive lines. last year when the line was healthy enough to establish a comfort with each other, they performed well.

why is everybody so high on Schwartz...i think if we find someone in the draft he is gone..he is a good run blocker.His pass protection sucks

And we know that because of how many games he played last year or that was a knock on him in college? I guess he wouldn't have learned anything playing and practicing for us last year and won't improve this year as well.

Yeah we should replace with a draft guy who has no experience and doesn't even know the play book and assignments. In fact lets get rid of him before training camp even begins. :thumbsup:

Is the change in Oline dominance better talent, better coaching or both? Didn't our old oline coach get shipped off a couple of seasons ago?

Welcome to the board. And you are correct...Dave Magazu is the O-line coach now and he has done a fantastic job, IMO. He used to coach the TE's.

Omiyale could have started on other folks team as evidenced by what Chicago has done. But we have arguably the best left tackle in the league and one of the best right tackles. The fact that we developed Omiyale and Hangartner into starters shows our ability to develop talent. There is no reason we can't do that with Bernadeau and Schwartz. We will pick up a center in the draft as well so we will be fine. At some point every team has to replace guys who are finishing their rookie contract and want big paychecks with other drafted guys who can step in and are still cheap. You can't keep and pay everyone!
