Jeff Otah is hurt again.

Whats the point of keeping a player when he spends half the time on the bench (or more)? We let go of Dan Morgan for the same reason

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe we cut Dan Morgan in the middle of the season. Generally, if a player is injured mid-season, you have to put them on IR or risk union problems.

If you are talking about after the season, that makes more sense.

No he is right, I think I saw Greg Hardy limping a little in the last game. Lets hall him out back and shoot him.

Lets just cut the whole fuging team. We can replace them with huddle posters.

Hardy is not injury prone. Otah has never been able to start a full season since we drafted him. He comes back from missing a year and already has other problems. He's good to have on the field, but it hurts the line to have someone in and out of the lineup.

This year is his trial year and so far it's just been shown that he's still injury prone. I wouldn't blame the FO if they decided to move on after the season.

A guy this young with meniscus issues playing the position he plays is troubling enough, add in the various other injuries here and there and now this 'back' injury, he has not been on the field enough to matter and should not be given a contract extension.

It's a business not a rehab center.

One would think that we would have learned with Dan Morgan...and sadly, Thomas Davis.

When this starts happening, the right business action for the team is to cut not extend.

Let me rephrase, not cut, so much as make the right business decision at the right time as this guy is taking up a roster spot and affecting chemistry.

I hope they've learned their lesson. I guess we will have to wait and see if he misses this game and more.

I wonder if this is just Otah's refusal to play through pain or if it is serious. There are a lot of players whose bodies just aren't cut out for the NFL. Football takes a toll, and the sad truth is for some guys after playing since pop-warner their bodies have had enough.
