Cutler releasing ball faster due to fear of sacks

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Despite Jay Cutler's reputation for toughness, the Chicago Bears quarterback admitted Wednesday the pressure he's received through the first three games is affecting him.

Sacked 14 times thus far, Cutler seemed to describe the process of a quarterback becoming shell-shocked from sacks, pressures, and extraneous hits after the throw.

"You talk to any quarterback. Whenever you're getting a lot of pressure and you're getting flushed, and you're getting hit a lot, that clock in your head is gonna be tinkered a little bit," Cutler said. "It's gonna start ticking a little bit faster. Even sometimes when you do have a good amount of time, you're gonna be feeling it even if it's not there."

Seems Jay is getting a bit jumpy. I think this will lead to some fortuitous picks by our secondary.

I think Rivera is gonna try to knock his head off to be honest. As we all know, turnovers will be the key. Gotta win that battle. That falls on the D-Line and Cam. The secondary can make the plays if we get the pressure. Cam can't get baited into making bad throws against veteran defenders. But their O-Line is poo. We need at least 4 sacks.

Cutler is a weak, small, egotistical pussy. He has the biggest arm in the league accompanied with the smallest heart. If he had half the heart Delhomme had, Cutler would be one of the top 3 QBs in the league.

I hope Johnson breaks his labia on Sunday and puts bears fans out of their misery.

Why? It's a human number.

I am not a spiritual man, but that number is all bad. I bought a used Jetta III YEARS ago and used check number 666 in my book, and I swear to you that a couple of weeks later it caught on fire in the parking lot at my office. No thanks, I'll pass. :reddevil:

    • Weird things also happen when you include garbage time games in your averages. Chicago and Washington he came in with like 2 min left.  The remaining 9 games which he started, 1,737 yards, 193 yards/game. Still low but let’s all be clear the number reported isn’t correct.
    • Our talent level is so low, and our defensive needs so vast, that just about any position we take in the first round at DL, LB, S would make us immediately better. I wouldn't even be "upset " if we took Will Johnson or Hunter at CB. Those guys would make us make our pass defense better overnight. My only drawback to to those guys would be the fact that they wouldn't heavily impact our RUN DEFENSE.  As some have pointed out, our run defense is historically bad. You won't compete for championships if teams are gashing for 150-200 yards every game. A stud at DT, DE, LB, or even a hard hitting/in the box  Safety would help that issue immediately. But, if you did take a shutdown corner, you could use the rest of the draft and FA to solve our other issues.
    • The 7 years just resets every time we hire a new coach lol
