Do you still like ex-Panthers on other squads?

Can't say i ever got attached to any role player that was brought in.

That includes harris. He was never a great safety. A vocal and emotional leader, yes. He wasn't here long enough for me to bother following him.

Julius Peppers

is a great player. Always fun to watch. I have no ill feelings towards the man. Hope he continues to do well, except against the panthers./B]

I'm at peace with Peppers because at the end of the day we let him walk... he left on our terms, not his.

After that final season he said he would be open to coming back, we never called. I tend to believe that we never called because when pressed about it Hurney said: "The offer we made him in 2007 is still on the table".

I don't hold any of his comments from his presser against him, when you dump a girl you can't expect her to say nice things about you. Even his holiness John Kasay took a few parting shots in his presser and his criticism was much more pointed.

A lot of people don't realize this about the Peppers situation.

Like others, my feeling tend to be related to how they left and what they said about us.

I have empathy for the guys who were dumped before the 2010 season. Some are retired while others are still playing. Guys like Harris, Moose, Jake and Hoover left it out on the field and were good guys. I hated to see them go and still have affection for them. I understand why guys likes Lloyd and Kasay were cut and still like them. Some like Peppers I have lost respect for.

It goes without saying that, across the board, against the Panthers I want every ex-player to have a bad game. They can be fine next week but not when we play them.

I would love to root for Kasay, but he is on the Saints and I hate the Saints with such a passion that I find it very difficult to root for anybody wearing that damn uniform.

Peppers leaving really pissed me off. I was very butthurt at him, Hurney, JR, Fox, everybody involved. I can't say I root for him but I find myself watching Bears games for no apparent reason while they are on defense. Will definitely be watching him this Sunday.

Delhomme - The guy was so hardcore Panthers through and through that he cried at the press conference when he got cut. I love me some Jake and always will.

Chris Harris - Still had mad love for Harris when he made that video thanking Panthers fans, but he has slowly been losing my respect. He seems constantly bitter and butthurt towards this organization.

Most other guys I am pretty meh about, although I love seeing Richard Marshall get burned.

A wise man once said that when it comes to sports, you aren't cheering for the man, you are cheering for the jersey he is wearing. And when that jersey changes, there is no more love.

and maybe this might be a shock to you but since his career is pretty much over I'd love to see Delhomme contributing to the organization media wise in some capacity, such as a commentary or radio hosting. I always thought he had a cool personality and he probably has the skills and appeal to do that kind of thing.

Delhomme, Kasay. That is about it. The other players were OK, liked them here, but don't follow/care what they do on other teams.

I do like to see an occasional highlight featuring one of them since it brings me back to past rosters. Watching Jeff King score on that blown coverage play was funny, since he lucked out big time. And, it seriously surprises me that another team picked him up.

But yeah. I hope Kasay plays for another few years. He was awesome. Once he plays us though that goes out the window.

I'm a Panther Phann thru n thru. I do respect the talents of many players that don't play for the Panthers. With that being said, no matter where he plays, Peppers is a beast. In addition, I think that he would've fit in perfectly in our system. Being able to rotate him to other positions to keep the O guessing woulda been awesome. Butttttt our defense has been looking good, with the exception of a few big plays.

I want to hate Peppers. I really do.

But he was an amazingly gifted player who gave us a chunk of his career. In the end, after watching the Fox debacle meltdown, I can't blame him for wanting to leave. So I find no real fault there, I'd want out too, knowing that my talent was being squandered on a lame ass coach.

And it makes me feel a little better about having a $100 #90 jersey when I'm telling myself he left for good reason.

The only time a former Panther somewhat bothers me is when that player makes a big play against the Panthers. But with me, most of the time I understand it's just a game and they're just doing their job, so thus..I stay relaxed. I have never been an overzealous person..when it comes to sports.
