Chudzinski already being eyed for a HC position?

JR should run his name through the mud when people ask about him.

"Oh yeah, that guy? Sucks. No people skills whatsoever. Sure, he's brilliant, but so was Cam Cameron. How'd that work out? You'd be better off not even wasting your time. Not to mention, he broke the vending machine in the lobby. Trust me. You don't want this doofus."

"Hey, Rob, how does an extension sound? No, no I'm not sure why nobody has contacted you. Go ahead and sign right here.."

I'm sure teams will want him.

But, I think he owes Rivera at least 2 years of service building the offense, getting Shula ready to take over.

In the meantime if he turns the Panthers offense into a top 10 unit he'll have his pick of jobs.

And after being the HC in a bad situation like Cleveland he'll want a good coaching gig.

Ha remember when Jack Del Rio was our DC through the SB run and then the next year he became Jags HC. The after Del Rio left for the HC postion. Our D slowly went down hill from there. I'm not saying Chud is all of a sudden a OC guru and getting us 3 straight wins already. But if Chud leaves then Cam might regress like Derek Anderson did with the Browns the Chud left. Ron needs to convince him to stay if he get a HC offer.:svengo:

Del Rio wasn't actually around for the Super Bowl run.

The Jags hired him after the 2002 season, a year in which the team went 7-9. Hard as it may be to believe, the Panthers DC for the Super Bowl season was Mike Trgovac.

Del Rio did have what I guess could be considered a minor role in the Super Bowl year in that he was the head coach of the first team we beat that year (in exciting fashion).

I do think that the lack of success from Del Rio and some other "one year wonders" has put teams off of going that route a little. To be clear though, this is Chudzinski's second run as a pro OC (one year in Cleveland a while back) and he was successful as a college OC as well.

All that said, Cole's speculation is ridiculously premature.

He was the OC in Cleveland, the move to TE coach in SD was a demotion on paper, but probably ended up being an upward move in the grand scheme of things.

I really hope he sticks around for a few years, I'd like to see Cam grow in one offense and stop changing every year, like Alex Smith.

For arguments sake, they could keep the same offense with another OC with experience in the North Turner branch of Coryell

But yeah, that would suck.

Watch Jacksonville hire him

It wouldn't be shocking or surprising.

I'm sure anybody he's worked for/with would give him a strong recommedation.

I know nobody wants to admit, or even think about the possibilities, but it is there.

I do think he wouldn't leave unless it was a team/franchise/situation that he wants to be a part of.

That being said, i would like him to stick around through cam's frst 3 years.
