Why is the coaching staff okay with Naanee's poor performance?

You would make sense if he was dropping passes. Cam still needs to hit him. I knew people were going to say this after the first game. I have a hard time understanding why people still don't want to see Cam has accuracy issues, especially after Sunday's game.

I'm pretty sure I saw some dropped passes from him in that Arizona game.

I'm guessing Naanee still knows this offense better than the rest of the WR's on our team... so that's one less guy the coaches have to "coach up" each week.

Naanee got himself open a couple times this past game, one time he sat right down in a zone and Cam sailed the ball over his head.

If/when LaFell learns the offense as well as Naanee knows it, I fully expect LaFell to take over the # 2 receiver spot (at least until Gettis returns).

28 percent of Naanee's passes have been caught, he's been targeted 14 times, Lafell has caught 80 percent of his passes and has been targeted 10 times.

For whatever reason, Cam and LA have no chemistry. Many of Cam's throws that make you say "what the hell was that?" are targeted at LA.

Maybe he runs his routes differently than the other receivers. Maybe he is sitting down in the zone when Cam expects him to keep running. Whatever it is, it hasn't worked yet. Hopefully they can get something going because we need a #2 that can be productive.

He certainly doesn't have the job for his downfield blocking.

Armanti's done fine as the punt returner. No big gains, but he has improved greatly on securing the catch and doing what he can after. I don't think he'll ever be an all-pro returner, but I'm satisfied with his performance so far.

Classic Panthers fan. Ok with mediocrity. "I'm happy as pie that he can CATCH A BALL." Really? Reallllly?

He has done NOTHING, hardly gets separation from his defender, doesn't seem like he's running the right routes cause every time Cam throws at him he seems not where he's supposed to be, and don't even get me started on his fuging blocking. He was someone who already supposedly knew this offense, and he clearly doesn't cause he looks lost.
Probably because he knows Chudz offense the best.

So he'll be where he supposed to be, which sometimes help other receivers get open.

But, yes it would be nice if he would catch the damn ball or make a play.

chemistry between a quarterback and a wide receiver is everything. for whatever reason cam and naanee don't seem to have it. maybe the coaching staff simply sees something we don't.

that said, this isn't a john fox team and i don't expect and underperforming vet to get the automatic nod anymore. i have no doubt naanee is on the hot seat right now.
