remember, he might not be as good as advertised or might have taken more work than what was needed to get him up to speed here or...and this is even more likely...he wanted a chance to be the #1 WR in Tenn and/or just didn't want to play here and this meeting was only used to help Tenn feel like there was someone in the league that was interested besides them.

The number two receiver everyone is crying for has been covered by Lafell. Lafell has had good number two production this season and I'm confident he will continue to do so. Last year Lafell and Gettis also had good rookie years, actually great years when you consider the qb they played with most of the time passed for 50yrds in a game.

I just don't get where this lack of faith in Lafell is coming from, even in college he was a very good receiver. If they were looking at Donnie Avery for anything it was to replace Naanee as the #3 receiver.

I actually dont think we NEED to sign another Receiver. Naanae and Brandon Lafell have been stepping up. We've got Smitty and the best TE's in the league in Shockey and Olsen. Chill out with wanted to sign people so friggin quick. These guys are just now getting their timing down. They'll be fine. If we need another receiver, we'll think about drafting one.... But if Lafell and Legs do well, with Gettis returning next year, Im confident that our receiving core will be fine.

I'm also anxious to see Pilares in the slot, running those cross patterns. Chances are, if they're out there, we dont need them.
