It goes without saying at this point that all of the ROTW threads will have a generous portion of GritsRGreat making sure we all know he's not a Panthers fan anymore. It's ignorable, imo.

T. Smith deserves it this week. Cobb didn't in week 1. The W shouldn't be the sole factor when determining individual awards like this. Cam deserved it both the first two weeks, not this one though.

Torrey Smith wins this hands down. His first three catches as a pro were long TD's.

But that sets him up as a shoe-in for ROTY. He'll have the most nominations, and even if some random individual has a fluke game that is better that week, there won't be anyone displaying Cam's consistency over the season.

The fuging kicker will win because its Dallas. Wouldn't be upset if we lose to Smith, but I wouldn't vote at all before I vote for a non-Panthers. (not planning on voting, because its all poo.)

I'll start voting for other team's rookies over my own when guys like David Gettis can win a Rookie of the Week vote after that one great performance he had last season that he was screwed out of winning. Until that day comes, I will be voting for any and all Panthers nominated for an award like this each and every time.

But then again, it is a little futile to vote for Cam here. If the reigning Heisman Trophy winner/BCS title winner/#1 pick couldn't win Rookie of the Week after having the greatest debut for a quarterback ever, I'll be surprised if he wins it at all this season.

Well, I guess those who feel he has won to much to quickly will make sure he doesn't win anything anymore if they can help it...As if his wins were given to him...Jealously is truly an ugly disease.

Anyway, it's interesting that they would have even entered him except they felt that despite his shaky start he handled himself exceptionally well considering the monsoon that fell on Sunday.

BTW, is catching three tds as difficult as a rookie QB starting off shakey, then having a deluge of a rainstorm fall where his team was splish splashing all over the place but having enough fortitude in him to regroup and help his team to their first victory? And for as shakey as he was, he never got into any real costly trouble.

I think, like the first ROTW that was handed out, we get caught of in what's happening and not the difficulty of what the person is doing. Plus, it's Cam...
