Armanti Edwards

Goodson had more yards in 1 game last year (Baltimore- 151) than Armanti has had in 1.5 years including 2 preseasons.

only took two injuries and a running offense. but now aint even in pads. guess that means we should assume that he's a bust and needs to get off the team.

Before you can call for AE being a bust and a wasted draft pick, he needs to get his legit opportunity first.

He is a WR, right? I want to see at least one series where AE gets targeted to make a play. If he gets targeted, and doesn't make the most of his moments, then I would be convinced that he is no longer viable on the roster.

And when I mean targets, he needs a few at least. And like I said before, we are 1-5. So if we get 3-4 more losses lining up AE on the field won't hurt us anyway.

If he showed anything in practice you think Rivera would hesitate to put him in the lineup?

The sad truth is this: He isn't being utilized properly. Put his ass in the slot, and let him do what Welker does. He's faster than Welker and could kill teams on drag routes alone. Name me a LB that can cover him other than maybe Patrick Willis.

Still waiting on a reverse pass for a TD too.

This staff, like the former one is trying to make this guy A Smitty. He's not. Use the players to their strengths. I thought that was covered in Coaching 101

Maybe you should ask JR to be our coach then. You know, since Rivera and Chud obviously have no clue how to use Armanti.

lol at the well if he was on the field he would be great people.

It's funny how you guys think you're smarter then an NFL coaching staff.

They see him play everyday in practice and possibly they give him WR reps.

If he was showing any kind of flashes of being a potentially good receiver why hasn't the coaching staff put him out on the field this year?

The mistake of trading a 2nd rounder for the guy was a complete and utter disaster.

Now i'm not saying he should not have been drafted, I just think of him as another rhyne robinson.

Edwards has talent. He just never gets any room on punt returns because our ST's sucks.

Devin Hester could score with no blockers on the field. Armanti is no Hester, of course, and I agree the Bears ST are lightyears better than ours, but if Armanti is as good as everyone creams their pants for, he'd be able to at least get some nice yardage from time to time on pure talent alone.

Let me get this straight, we need to rest our starters at WR, who are, behind Smith, subpar at best, so the worldly talent of AE can finally shine through on game day because he cannot get on the field otherwise?

Someone please confirm if this is the stance of the AE fanboys.

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
