Armanti Edwards

AE is twice the punt return man that he was last year. Not only is he catching the ball, but he is also getting some return yards.

AE will probably never be worth what the Panthers gave up to get him, but he also probably has a safe spot on the roster for the next two years.

I do think that most fans' impatience with AE stems from the absurd trade for his draft rights and the downright stupid ASU homerism that has invaded this board.

If he was a 5th or 6th round pick like he should have been no one would have had a problem. I understand why people are down on him though cause it seems every time we trade away picks we never get any value in return. The Greg Olsen trade is paying off though.

cues up the ASU fags that will claim AE was going to be a 3rd round pick and that Indy was going to draft him shortly before Hurney made the trade in 3, 2, 1...

Coaches tend to learn a lot in practice.

Apparently not...they are still trying to make him into a PR and WR.....he's a QB....we should have never drafted him as anything other than a QB....in other words...we should have never drafted him....the guy deserves a shot a QB somewhere....he should be released or traded for anything we can get.

This entire episode reminds me of "Any Given Sunday". Ridiculous really. Making an accomplished QB play PR and WR and for a 2nd round pick? Hurney is a moron.

Was it really the Colts? I'm seriously curious as to who that 'mystery' team was

Man what games are you watching ? The only thing he's doing better than last year is catching the ball . He's not getting any yards . Over the past 5 games he's only averaged 10 yards if that . And don't give me that ish about no blocking because there's always gonna be one or two guys breathing down your neck when you catch the ball . It's up to the punt returners to make those one or two guys miss to pick up yards or call fair catch . He's a QB not a return man simple and plain .

for a team that is usually not aggressive in free agency and that depends on the draft to build...

so throwing away a 1st rnd pick for E.Brown...throw away 33rd pick last year and taking armanti....theres 3 picks right there down the drain. We have given up 33rd for a guy who is on the field 3-4 plays a game and who cant get any return yards. These are errors that CANNOT happen.

It was a fictitious team concocted by ASU fans.

Not really, ESPN mentioned it on air during the draft. That multiple teams had contacted NE about Edwards to move up and draft him. I'm am not an ASU fan, just remember hearing it on TV and laughed.

On that note, WR's usually take 2-3 years for Edwards it's probably going to take 3-4 years for him to get it as an NFL WR if he ever does.
