he'll get sloppier. she'll cover for him. she'll respect his code at first but then she'll realize he's broken his code many times. she'll confess to batista, handcuff dex herself, hand him over and turn herself in. that's the next two seasons in a nutshell. i can't possibly see deb participating in the killings.

Many people have been dogging this season, but I thought it's been great

I really like that the Chicago cop & Louis are gonna continue on the show...its gonna be a wild next season

yeah i got other issues with the show like sloppy writing and a cliffhanger ending that came at least one season too late.

i actually cringed when he stabbed the guy with the spear in front of a boatload of people

deb finding out i'm not crazy about, but if she's gonna find out and bang him i'd say the show may be jumping the shark

sure. its still better than 99.5% of everything that's ever been on television

there are not many serial dramas out there better, but they are out there

yeah on shows like csi, that's 100% of the premise, and nothing means poo from one episode to the next

also the writing on those shows were done by 3 year olds

on dexter its only about 30% of the premise, really more of a launching point for the real drama

its really not a show i would recommend to a csi fan because i hate explaining every thing

So, after reading through this thread, it sounds like this season isnt very good, but i have never watched this show before, and I am looking for some new shows to get into.

Definitely. We complain about this season because Dexter itself set the bar so high. It really can't possibly live up to expectations. It's that good.

I don't think they will get together romantically. She may want to, but Dexter sees her as his sister. I DO think she will cover for him (she has to, right?, or how does the show go on?) which means she almost has to join in.

In the books she knows that Dex is a killer so there is plenty of material for them to work with in that regard. Ive been surprised it took them this long to work it in.
