Bank of America Stadium = Poorly built for rain?

I am not sure how many people here actually went to the game but for those who sat in the front row with me can vouche, this stadium sucked on Sunday. It got to the point in the first half where you literally could not sit in your sit because water was flooded so high, if you put the seat down to sit, it was over you. Where the railing was, the water was that high and flooding over the side onto the field. Is it like this at other stadiums?

I'm not sure any stadium is built to handle that much rain in that short amount of time. Flash floods can happen anywhere including stadiums.

I was laughing at the folks in the first row who chose to stay where they were (up to their knees in water) instead of moving up 1 or 2 rows... a few of them were clearly enjoying the attention.

I was on the 50 in the front if you were talking about me. It was cool, we got game worn wide receiver gloves thrown to us.

I like BOA from an attractiveness standpoint, but dang it doesn't drain well.

The fact that the field was still splashing to the end of the game indicates to me that the field drainage system is very, very inadequate. In 2009, Auburn had a home game against WVU that had a deluge just prior to the game and actually delayed the game for about an hour. Much like BOA yesterday, the water was pouring down from the stands and creating pools on the field.

By the time they started the game though, no splashing. The field had totally drained. I was really surprised that BOA's drainage seemed to be overwhelmed.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
