Worst call of the game?

I was at home watching and I kept rewinding to see what the officials saw on Stew's run. They musta been lookin at more views than what they showed on TV, cause there was nothing shown on the replay that his elbow touched. I do believe the elbow constitutes down though, but Stews didnt from where I could see....

Did anyone notice on the TD pass just before halftime that the tight end was blocking downfield before the ball was caught? I looked at all the replays and I'm almost sure this happened either before the ball was caught or at the same time. Either way this should have been an illegal block downfield and should have overturned the score. Maybe I was just seeing things bc I haven't heard anyone on here mention it. It looked like Senn was being blocked right in front of the catch before the reception was made...if anyone has a replay please post it.

Update: found it on YouTube and if you pause it right when the catch is made the tight end looks to be engaging in a block. Kind of a bang-bang play so I guess I understand the no call.

I saw the PI play live and then of course on the big screen,,,, even while it was happening I was yelling PI on the Jag WR. I dont know, maybe on TV replays it was easier to see BUT it sure looked like to me the WR put his hand out, in the face of the DB and was just running down field that way pushing him before he let go to catch the ball. That was what I saw.

lmao at people complaining about the stew call. If that was not a tackle i dont know what one is. 57 of the 60 yards were a direct result of everyone on the field, in the stands, and watching at home knowing he was tackled and a few dumbass refs not blowing the whistle.

Stew's back landed on the back of a Jag's player, the only parts of Stew's body that touched the ground are a hand & both feet. If that is a tackle, then I dont know what one is either. The dumbass refs actually got it right by not blowin the whistle, then screwed teh pooch on the replay/review...

kid was knocked off his feet. by luck he landed on another player, by luck nobody knows for sure if his elbow touched. by luck all the players on the field stopped playing. by luck he caught them all off guard.

you guys may want to break out the waterproof digital calipers and uber fast exposure film to show me the blades of grass that slightly missed his elbow if you want. But if a guy gets knocked off his feet he is tackled in my book.

spare me the half dozen or so highlights where a guy rolls over and gets up and scores. I've seen 'em.

refs wrong or right at the time of the non-whistle is still up in the air. stew did the right thing by running. the booth missed it because there was no irrefutable evidence to overturn the call.

but as far as our fans being butt-hurt because we did not get that run is silly.

The kid was knocked off his feet. Sheer luck and poor officiating make it controversail but damnit guys, we all know he was stopped and in the end we all got the proper result. It may not have been correct per the letter of the law to some of you but it was proper.

The kid was knocked off his feet guys...c'mon already.

This would all be relevant if the call was ruled down on the field. There wasn't indisputable evidence either way to overturn the call. The call on the field should've stood either way. They have time and time again stressed INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE on replays. Yesterday's was clearly not that.

If what you're saying about being knocked down was the rule, their would be a ton more controversial plays and it'd be damn near impossible to score by running near the goalline. The runner at the goalline is almost always laying on top of a pile of bodies. According to you he was "knocked down", so where did that occur and where do you spot the ball? Rules are specifically written out to avoid controversy. This is why we don't see vague rules like being "knocked down".

    • What are the matchups, stats and superlatives?   I think this will be a hard game. Bucs are a very balanced team on offense:  7th  in total yards per game, 7th in passing, 10th in rushing. Baker is having another career year even better than last year but despite missing his Godwin and Evans. Bucs defense is poor (29th) particularly passing defense, but we’re also depleted in our receiving with Coker and Sanders likely out. Running Chuba is key but their defense is better against the run. (16th) I think this is likely going to require us to score a lot of points to keep up and hopefully the home field advantage tips the scale in our favor. My other concern is our run defense and being able to stop their rookie study Bucky Irving who the Bucs have shifted more carries to recently and he’s averaging 5.4 ypc and knows how to get into the endzone with 5 TDs so far.
    • This is nonsense and you know it. People will be happy when we are consistently and convincingly winning games against good teams. There are people in here talking down to others after losses and barely beating the terrible NY Giants. If you want to strut around here like only you are a real Panthers fan and rage pooing posts because your jimmies are rustled then hey good luck with all that. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
    • Who had the massive meltdown last year? Hope they feel better this year.
