Basically Del Rio thought they should get to use a booth review as a timeout even though they'd spent all their timeouts. Doesn't work that way bro.

Exactly - I couldn't figure out what the hell he was bitching about? They ruled a catch on the field, in play with no time outs, so the clock would run. They stop the clock to review, then they indicate it was a catch, wind the clock. I've never coached a down of football and I knew this.

He should be bitching at his assistants who didn't have the play dialed in and the guys ready to spike the ball or something. If the call had been overturned and they moved it back to the original line of scrimmage, there would have been time to back up and get a play call in, plus having ruled it incomplete the clock would have been stopped anyway.

Piss poor coaching job at the end there, Jags.

I don't think Del Rio or Sparano in Miami make it through the season. Especially Miami because they have quite a bit of talent on that roster.

Sparano is probably throwing the season

I don't blame him, because Miami totally fuged him over by pretty much firing him for Harbaugh then after finding out they couldn't get him, kept him on. At least we never toyed around with Fox in his last year lol.

del rio is half as good as the other overrated former coach in the AFC south named jeff fisher. if he can't win the division, especially now that the colts are sans manning, he probably won't survive the beginning of the offseason if he survives the regular season.

sparano's just going through that end phase of the bill parcells-built team cycle of meandering around .500 after peaking early. i can't imagine him not getting fired if he can't win more than two games by november because remember ross tried to get harbaugh to replace him last winter

and lol who edited tony sparano's wikipedia

I just watched his post game comments and he was saying basically they shouldn't have reviews the catch, shouldn't have stopped the clock, and should have given them time to get ready after the review was over. The way I look at it (from the perspective of the opposite team, obviously) is that the refs GAVE them extra time to get ready for the next play. That was on the center not being ready to snap when the reviewing process was over, but the refs did them a favor by replaying the catch.
