The Game Atmosphere Today

One thing I like about the CBS broadcast is the sound. I just think their stadium noise in the background is better. that being said, I thought the crowd was loud and I could hear the music during the downtime and it seemed like it got the crowd pumped up.

I don't remember the guy that came on hear and asked for suggestions for stadium music but the atmosphere seems to have picked up from what it has been in years past.

I thought the stadium noise was worse... couldn't hear the panther roar on first downs. It sounded like some random buzz in the background.

Watching it on TV, it seemed to me like Gabbert had a tough time getting his center to snap the ball on that last play because the center couldn't hear him because of the crowd and he wasn't looking at Gabbert between his legs, so he didn't realize Gabbert was throwing a conniption fit for him to snap the damn ball.

The live chat atmosphere was worse. I can't believe how many people give up and become such defeatists during the game. I'd rather stick with the game day threads. It was making me depressed at one point.

I get angry and mad too but I don't do the whole defeatist thing. I'm used to either screaming in anger or pulling for them going "let's go guys" at my TV on almost every play. People were just quitting after every little thing that didn't go our way. We were never down by more than 5 and people were acting like we were down 20 points. I'd rather have anger than desperation.

As long as there is time on the clock, and we're not down by an impossible score, I don't give up until that clock reaches 0.00 if we can still get a possession. I pull for them until the end of the game, no matter how bad we're sucking.

The best part about the stadium atmosphere today was not having to share it with a ton of other the other team's fan. It was nice playing a team that doesnt travel or have much of a fan base here. The stadium was pretty much ALL Panthers fans...... and I sooooooooooooooo enjoyed that.

Agreed!

Was very impressed with the noise of the crowd on that last drive for Jacksonville before the half. In some cruel twist of fate, those of us who stuck it out in the rain for our team were rewarded with an inexplicable touchdown pass, but all has been forgiven. Even when Cam has a day where he's not hitting everything, you can tell just his presence has breathed so much life into this franchise. We were loud on almost every third down--damn I wish we had a night game this season. Place would be rocking.

Yeah, I know what ur talking about. It's like dealing with folks with a bad case of bi-polar.

I guess since I'm a NY rooting team fan, I'm accustom to nail-biters and I have a "don't give up until it's over" attitude.

That's the first time I tried that chat. I even politely asked for some cheering....but nada. :( I was cheering but it was hard to when it was followed by: "That's it....it's over....if we don't score on this drive, we lost the game".... when there's over 9 minutes left on the clock, we have the ball and we are down by 2 points! I just hope that group doesn't go to games.
