No picks, no sacks, and didn't fumble a single snap in a game in which at one point Noah showed up in the huddle asking if anyone needed a ride to the locker room, but only two at a time.

If today was a 'rookie' game, I'll take it every time.

But putting all jokes aside, if u put all of this year's drafted QB out there in that deluge to play today which one do you expect to have been much different or better than Cam's?

Heck even Sam Bradford seem to be struggling with the Rams so far this season. Cam needs to struggle. That is part of the learning process.

whoa whoa whoa no where did I insult Cam. I expected him to have these types of games, and am surprised it took him until week 3 to really have an awful performance(sorta redeemed himself with that 4th quarter TD).

p-manning himself had SEVERAL 3 interception games in his rookie season. I expect it.

just saying, if we can save those performances for lesser opponents I'll be thrilled lolz

he looked worse than those stats for the entire day save for one very nice drive to put us on top and win the game... but what's important is when we needed him to stand up and win the game for us he was able to.

let's not sugar coat his performance today: it was just barely enough... but it was his first win and therefore this team's best game this season so far! :)

...he can afford to play like complete and utter ass and still come out with a win. he's going to have to step it up against the Bears defense or next game won't be so lucky...

Cam's numbers look pedestrian, but his play was phenomenal in the crappiest of conditions. If the defense hadn't taken the last minute of the second half off, we would have won 3- 16.

To say he played like "utter ass" is absurd on it's face. I personally apologize that Cam didn't produce the Fantasy numbers your team may have needed to win this weeks office pool over Ted in accounting. However, Cam made a solid play every time the ball hit his hands. Any discrepancy in the insane numbers you may have been looking for and the actual production is a direct result of Ron re-discovering our running game in the face of adverse weather.

As for the "vaunted" Chicago Bears (who are 1-2 along with my Panthers), they dropped a game to both the Packers and Falcons. I believe that there is a solid case to be made that we are better than the Falcons and had every possibility to beat the Packers (unlike tonight's cubs), even with the development that we still have to make.

I'll take the Panthers next week to hang 27 on the Bears, it's up to the defense if we get the big "W".

Yep, and tThis likely won't be his only "rookie" game. Troy Aikman, Peyton Manning and many other successful QBs have games from their rookie years that they'd love to forget.

He left several plays out on the field today, but he didn't make the glaring mistakes(turnovers) that give up field position and put points on the board for the opposition. So while he wasn't great like in previous weeks, he wasn't detrimental.

All I am saying is that even tho his stats weren't that great and he didn't have a hall of famer type game today it was a good one because of the win and the 0 interceptions. I'm so glad he wasn't throwing picks while trying to force the ball. Throwing picks throws away the game.

He had plenty of "almost picks" though. I know that's woulda coulda shoulda, but he was very inaccurate today(can blame that partially on the weather) and made a game a lot more difficult than it should have been.

I've praised Cam the past few weeks, you guys need to quit acting like I'm hating on him. I expect all rookies to go through rough patches.

Why the fug do you have to talk poo about Cam man! I am getting sick and tired of guys like you that always have a problem with the guy. How can you call yourself a fan when you talk LIKE THAT about our QB? Give him a damn break. He's only a freaking rookie! I bet you want Delhomme back don't you?

I agree 100% that it was a good win and a good step for him in that regard, but his overall play was pretty poor as he forced balls frequently and had tremendous accuracy issues we hadn't seen in the regular season yet. He came through when it counted though and for that I am glad, not only because Cam got his first win, but because this team needed to see that if they fought hard and kept it close, even when things didn't go there way, they had an offense that could still put it together at the end of the game for the win.
