Starting to feel good about these guys. Except for bout three big runs by MJD they played well and seem to be getting better. Next season we'll get Edwards back and if Kearse developes we'll be able to focus our early picks somewhere else.

Yeah they are improving every week, they played well in crappy conditions today against one of the better rushing teams in the league. Good game for them.

Yeah, I noticed on 1 of those runs, it was b/c they (McClain stuck out to me though) were trying to shed blocks to get into the backfield. That is a rookie mistake, which can be corrected with good coaching. I am feeling pretty good about them too!

Still would like to see another DT drafted next year, but I'm definitely stoked for Neb, Mcclain, and Fua.

Really? I like their potential, but I thought they got used and abused today. At least until they got to our 40 yard line, then the entire d stiffened. But Jones-Drew has his best day of the year so far, and the vast majority of it was straight up the middle.

Having Fields to rotate in didn't hurt at all. I think he was in for a lot of the stuffs, and the rookie tandem were in for a lot of the long plays.

MJD had one big run and two decent runs, otherwise he was shut the fug down.

Yep....I noticed McClain has a quick jump off the ball.

MJD got all of his yards on like three or four plays. Before his huge run in the second quarter near the end of the half he only had about 20 yrds on 9 carries. The times they got gashed happened, according to the FOX crew, because mcclain and fua over committed. As the year goes on, I expect the rooks to continue to grow and our run defense to get better with fewer gashes. I'm looking forward it.
