Kasay's longest FG made is from 56 yards. He made a 55 yarder last season and made a 53 yarder this season.

Mare's longest FG made is from 54 yards. Within the last 4 years, his longest is 51.

It was basically just to be able to add another position player and not needing 3 kickers on the roster. I think in good conditions Mare can make long kicks, but sometimes the smarter decision is to play field position. And even if Kasey was our kicker, Rivera may still elect to play for field position. Can't be mad at him for that. I prefer that in most situations.
