Need help on admin rights

We have 3 laptops. My work laptop I can't get to Pandora etc so that leaves my wifes former work laptop.

It's a nice Toshiba yada yada. Heres the prob. Even if I want to update Adobe Flash, the Admin box pops up.

Is there a way to hack this junk? :thumbsup:

-Start | Control Panel | User Accounts

-Manage user Accounts

-Highlight user, hit properties

-Group Membership tab

-Select Administrator

-Hit Okay twice

what if its a company admin rights? a box pops up and asks for a password.

Yeah...use a 911 or rescue cd and reset the admin pw.

If its really a former work laptop then just call the tech folks and ask them. If you're not ever putting it in their environment again they shouldn't have a problem giving it to you.

If that's not the case then don't try to circumvent the security of a laptop that doesn't belong to you. Ive had idiots fired over hacking our laptops.

I agree, but if it is a former company laptop your IT folks should have wiped the hard drive and taken company software off of it. They could get in more trouble for doing that, than you resetting a local admin password on a current company password.
