At the risk of being accused of just taking the unpopular opinion to stir up controversy, I didn't think what Bayless said was that bad. The gist of what he was saying was that what Cam said was dangerous because people could take it to mean that he was saying he's as good as Brady. Bayless said a lot of good things about Cam, just that he needs to be careful with how he words things. Said he thought Cam got a little carried away in that interview.

Ratings drop when all the talking heads agree on a mildly controversial topic. Ratings rise when the talking heads disagree with one another, and have a shouting match about the controversial topic. Skip has a job because he is willing to make take an unpopular position on a topic based on what the tv show producers need for the segment.

Producer: "You 3 take the popular opinion. Skip you have the opposite opinion. Argue and shout, Skip you lose this time."

Look, we're talking about ESPN. A Sportnetwork that has turned everyday desk reporters into talking heads for a multi-million dollar Leader of Worldwide Sports. Funny but what Skip is doing isn't new. It's what keeps chat-sites going and news websites relevant.

Look at the threads that get the most attention on this site. The one where the orginator makes some kind of knee jerking statement against someone everyone is already talking about.
