Virtually everyone is picking us to beat the Jags

I think we're going to squeak out a win and Cam will have an efficient, less eye popping game.

Could very well be.

NFL Analysts go off of trends and history. Right now, Cam's history is 2 games of increasing passing stats. So, the only trend they have is to continue to pile on passing numbers.

No one picked us to lose by 7 points against Green Bay. No one would have guessed we were up on them 13-0 at any point in that game.

TBH, I don't care what it takes to win this game. We just need to win it.

im taking this one step at a time. :) now we can move the ball.

The next thing is red zone efficiency. I want to see us score over and over again.

Our receivers should be able to get past the deep zone and beat man coverage deep (particularly Smith). Hopefully, we won't have too many red zone situations. Although, they are needed in order to become more efficient.

Virtually everyone is saying Cam will have another monster game. Virtually everyone is saying Blaine Gabbert will play horribly.

This is a team that has lost 16 of its past 18 games.

So I want you to ask yourself something: When was the last time the Carolina Panthers lived up to expectations in a game where everybody expected them to beat the other team down? It hardly ever happens, especially at home. So why should we expect it to happen on Sunday? Is it simply because all of that underperforming was done under Fox and Jake and we're expecting it to be different with Rivera and Cam?

I think we're going to squeak out a win and Cam will have an efficient, less eye popping game. But if you think it's a slam-dunk that Cam is going to pass for 500 yards and we're going to beat the Jags by 30, you're ignoring what's been happening with this team over the years and even what's been happening with this team in the past week. Don't be surprised and become clinically depressed if we do lose. After all, we're 2-16 over our past 18 games.

Give it a rest. Jake was a great QB from 03-05.

It's the NEWton rivERA... Not foxball. New team, stop thinking like u did b4 and you'll be just fine. Sit on your couch on Sunday, pop you some popcorn and enjoy the asswhoopin that we will surely lay down Sunday.

As others have pointed out, Fox wanted to play good defense, run the ball and not lose. Rivera want to beat you down and then stomp you. While it hasn't happened yet, I think that we do win on Sunday. Why?

We are home and Jacksonville is on the road. We will have the crowd on our side and frankly I think that Newton is much further along than Gabbert who has gotten little work with the 1s before this week. They will be operating on a cut down gameplan and will rely on the run and short passes to move the chains.

They were 3-5 on the road last year and got their butts handed to them on the road in New York. While I don't predict a blowout. I think we win. Doesn't matter by how much does it??
