While no one would dispute anyone's panthers' patriotism on this thread, I would point out that comparing our schedule this year, compared to last year's along with the alarming lack of depth at OL that proved so very necessary last year further COMPOUNDED by our continued thinning at DL certainly gives one pause to think that next year could EASILY be another down year.

Do I want this? Hell no! I want a SB championship team! But that doesn't change the facts that are now staring hard at us in the face.

Some positives that aren't being advertised are that hopefully Jake will benefit from some new coaching. If he can bring the ball down for the outside routes and put some more depth on the post route, our receiving corps benefits immediately.

Another is that Jarrett was showing some real promise by the end of the year. We also haven't even seen Conner in the mix of our LB corps. I am eager to see him, Beason, and Davis blistering the middle of the field with their speed and power. Such a combination could make up for some thinning at the DL with the right blitz/gap control scheme.

Lastly, I try to not get too over-excited when I think of the core OL and RBs we have. However, given what they showed last year, this has the potential of being a ground attack that is the envy of the entire league.

Oh and I like the part where the TC posted about how the Steelers have more to complain about than us lol. Yes, poor poor Pittsburgh with their 6 Super Bowl trophies.

The day we win our 7th Super Bowl title only then would we stop complaining about our problems...and that's only if the Steelers, 49ers, or Cowboys don't win any more Super Bowls from here on out

I am a total Homer and am proud of it...but I do think I recognize where my blinders are. Note: I didnt say we have less to complain about the Steelers - I was pointing out they have holes 'also'....and no where did I compare legacies.

But our outlook? Yes, currently our OL depth is worriesome...but FAITH! I KNOW our FO is going to address this in the draft.

...and our running game? Does anyone else out there believe that if we were scary last year how awesome we are going to be this year?? Seriously, Otah is going to destroy lines, Stew has another year under him - I totally see us blowing up some records on the ground. As mentioned, Connor is back and so is Rhyne - its going to be AWESOME this year.
