Most Hated Panther ever: Jake Delhomme?

I dont know about most hated, BUT he is the MOST disrespected.

You would think after 07 people would have a better perspective. I guess time kills everything.

i agree with that but i would say it is more the reeeeaallly bad game he played than time. without all those turnovers we would have been putting most of the blame on the defense for giving it up like they did.

I can't believe some of you can't have a conversation without becoming like kids in the backyard sand lot.

Really?

You all look like idiots.

You can't talk about football without being childs?

I wanted to close this thread as well, but I'm too tired. I'm going to bed. You stupid fug deal with it yourselves.

I'm sad to be a Panther fan.

More specifically it would be on the coaches.

i blame the coaching more than anything for both. defense is what either killed us or expedited our death.

Like you put here.

(some still believe this may be an issue)

Well see though.

I think it would be a Fox defense fest instead of a Jake defense fest though.

So really it would all be the same just different names.

(even though you admit the coaches fuged up)

Its a pretty simple here= I post-people use it to bash me, not the topic because I am outspoken and call bullshit when I see it.

I think I am going to just come back around draft time......

but the truth is that you realize that our defense would have cost us in the end anyways.

People want to pretend that last season was magical of some sort, it was not our time.

Our team was not prepared and it showed. Jake playing his worst game of his carreer just made it easier to deal with.

yeah, i think that the problems we had with the defense had more to do with mismanagement of the players than the players themselves. they could have done better but the coaching held them back. hopefully that was fixed.

there were tons of blame to go around for that last game. i saw plenty of missed opportunities and blocks on the offense. the defense was at the mercy of bad coaching but the offensive play calling was atrocious as well. we run better than anyone so let's force jake to try and carry this team on his back in desperation time? use your strengths to get you through games. it is what got us to 12-4....it could have taken us further.

through all of that, though, only one person has stepped up and really taken the blame for it, though, and that is jake. shows a lot of character, imo. doesn't mean that he is the best person for the job but still goes a long way in garnering respect which many, even among his detractors, have acknowledged.

yep...well, that and the playcalling but the defense shot us in the foot. no way should fitz have been able to abuse us like that during the first half.

Well I don't think Fox is going to take the blame publicly. So that leaves the guy who turned the ball over 6 times.

It's not noble to tell the truth, that should be the norm, so really to me Jake taking the blame for it is the world operating as normal.(nothing heroic)

Certainly it takes character to not be a lieing asshole, and Jake isn't that.

Our defense was an issue no question, but I can't point out a single defense in NFL history that would have won that game with Jake turning it over 6 times.

You Sir understand accountability....

Some just dont understand the concept.

Football is a TEAM sport, no one man makes or breaks the team. Its starts with the Coach and ends with the players.

the defense put us in a hole. jake couldn't get us out of it.

we shouldn't have been in the hole in the first place.

doesn't excuse the turnovers but turnovers shouldn't be made the scapegoat for the whole disaster. i can understand why it would be made the scapegoat, i just don't agree with it.

we lost as a team.
