Most Hated Panther ever: Jake Delhomme?

As a Panther fan since their inception, I've supported the players who have come and gone. But the amount of hatred I've seen toward Jake since the playoffs is simply amazing. The guy had an awful game, and now everyone (literally EVERY PANTHER FAN I KNOW) wants him gone. In favor of Moore, Weinke, Peete, Vick, McNabb, any QB who has ever taken a snap. I don't understand. I supported him when he did well, was mad when he didn't but never wanted him released.

Honestly if Steve Smith kills a teammate, I honestly think he'd be absolved and people would still love him. He drops 5 passes in a playoff game, he had a rough night. DeAngelo fumbles the winning TD, he has a rough day. Jake overthrows Moose, CUT HIM!! TRADE HIM KILL HIM JUST KEEP ME FROM LOOKING AT HIM!

I hope he does get cut, and kicks our ass in a game so BoA stadium is silenced. When a Panthers player is signed, I stay loyal as long as he shows class. That's gone for anybody. In this day and age of fairweather fans, I believe that is too much to ask of any other Panther fan. At least none I've seen. How many of you hate him? All of you?

What do you expect? He had the all-time worst game for a playoff quarterback. He couldn't have flopped any harder after all the hard work this team put into the season.

I don't hate Jake, I just think his time in Carolina is passed. Why not improve at QB sometime soon? Doesn't mean I hate him.

i see that a lot and i believe that. it's understandable.

the hate is only from a few people around here. he may have hurt us but he never deserted us or had someone killed. he never insulted anyone or hurt anyone on the team.

people may want him gone but hating him? only the little and irrational minded people are doing that.

Kasay kicked it out of bounds in the Super Bowl. Missed a game-winning FG against the Giants. Missed 3 FGs and an extra pt against Philly in '03.

Waiting for START LLOYD threads........still waiting......

Imagine if he had done that and played for the Eagles, Cowboys, or NY.

:ack2:

Kasay is the last original Panther, so that definitely holds some weight. Plus without Kasay's leg we wouldn't have even been in that SB.

Point nullified.

So more comebacks in the 4th quarter than any other starting QB since '03, a Pro Bowl, and all those wins don't nullify anything? Again, that is exactly my point.

We dont hate Jake, we just want him gone or stay as a backup.

We have wanted him gone long before this playoff game.:driving:

Collins wasnt hated, he fell into a media trap.

Peppers wants to go, life moves on.

He played well for us, he just cant leave without us getting something for him. I blame the front office for this ongoing saga, not Peppers
