Most Hated Panther ever: Jake Delhomme?

First off nobody hates Bojangles. Thats just plain silly.

As for the game. Did the defense show up? I blame that loss on the coaching staff. After the 3rd turnover it was apparent to me that it wasnt Jakes night. Why didnt they run the ball. The fact that Hightower/James each had more carries then our entire time is sickening to me. They abondoned the game plan and it wasnt the time or place to do it. Just remember Jake has had alot more great games then he has bad ones. Jake gave us a shot to win the game vs. the Giants. John Kasay missed the kick. Jake gave us a shot to win the Super Bowl. Kasay screwed up his kick. Didnt hear much griping on that one.

PS. Your bag head sucks. Maybe you should be a lions fan. thats part of the fan uniform.

you give it up 6 times..especially a couple in the red zone, you just lost the game for your team...single-handedly

True..everything else wasn't perfect and it would not have mattered if it was.

We knew what Fitz was going to do. We watched him do it early in the year. Nobody can stop him. Joke just had one of his patented "bad games" and we lost.

Nope. Jake gets the stats of throwing all those interceptions, but he should IMO. When the ball bounces off the receivers hands into the waiting arms of an opponent Jake gets the blame, but is that on Jake or the receiver? Now, I'm not defending him in any way, it was a horrible game. But to say it was all him is not shading the truth by omission.

hahahahaahahah

wasn't Jake's night..YA THINK????

for the record I have boycotted bojangles since 2006 season

as far as my bag head goes..its mine so stfu. As bad as the Lions and their fans' uniforms are, they did not have a player give it up 6 times in a game...ever and they almost beat us at home because Joke was having another off night.

That is tough and it happens...but that situation does not represent the majority of his picks and a ton can be said in argument about his targeting choices too. Forcing the ball in tight spots like he loves to do can make things difficult.

The fact is that we completely stopped running the ball when we were down by just 7 points and sold out to pretty much exclusively pass the ball the remainder of the game. Who knows what would have happened had the game plan not completely changed, since the first drive of the game we shoved the ball down their throats with the run. I also saw a lot of single coverage on Fitz all game WITHOUT Boldin in there, which was different from the first game. Again, failure by Delhomme, failure by pretty much everyone else. Not just him.

You still aren't going to get all the Jake haters to believe that.

jake could come out next year and throw for 3700 yards and 25 td's with only 10 int, have a comp percentage in the 60's and a qb rating in the 90's and they would still complain about him.

Yeah, and Deshaun Foster is breaking the single season record for rushing yards.

Never liked DeShaun Foster and the way he tiptoed to the line of scrimmage.

Also, never liked Nick Goings. I always thought if he wasn't here, he wouldn't be in the league at all.

The thing with Delhomme is, John Fox brought him in and he can do no wrong in Fox's eyes. He will always have an excuse for his screw ups.

apparently last years screw ups were enough. he doesn't have a job here.

If Jake wasn't a big screw up does anyone think we do better than 12-4 last year. Honestly you make it sound like he was so awful that if we had Cutler we would gone 16-0 with a defense that was rated 12th in points and 18th in yards.

Anyone think Cutler wouldn't have bad games? Think he has as many 4th quarter comebacks? Think he wins against San Diego, Green Bay, and New Orleans with last drive heroics?

Personally I doubt we would have been 12-4 let alone better than that. All the individual stats doesn't win games. I can't see paying tons of money and draft picks for a guy with a losing record as a starter and no record of being a winner when the game is on the line. Then again I grew up with the likes of Terry Bradshaw, John Elway and other guys who never had the best stats but who could win when the game was on the line. Is Jake in that category. No since he hasn't won the Superbowls they have but with either the Steel Curtain or the Orange Crush, Jake would have won in 2003 for sure.
