Talks about the LB situation... It really is amazing to have a coach that is so candid and expressive, lol.

At one point in the video, someone from the media asks about Jason Williams starting and Rivera replies, "Man, you're gonna tell everybody..."

Then when explaining the reasoning behind it, he says that the idea behind Jason Williams playing is that if the Jags run "lead weak" with the FB, "we gotta big guy coming downhill to meet the FB."

He then says Thomas Williams will come in for the "sub" packages with James Anderson.

And again, says it will be Will-LB by committee.

I love Rivera, but sometimes I wonder if he puts too much out there? Then again, it really goes along with that whole "we're gonna do what we do regardless, good luck stopping it," aggressive-type feel.

SN: Sounds like he REALLY likes the Kearse signing as well. When asked about him he says "Yeah, we got a BIG (makes gesture of a wide-body with arms) GUY." Says he's along the lines of the guys he likes at DT, like Ron Edwards and Fua.

Also says part of the reason we kept 8 LBs on our 53 was because he and Hurney love Jason Williams potential and he as a guy they didn't want to let go.

I was just getting ready to create a thread on this... Good poop Proudiddy!

Anyways, the best part I thought was when ^He talked about going out in town and fans being glad that they're playing well, and genuinely meaning it.

His comments: He's glad the fanbase is behind them, but the team is not settle for playing well. He believes they have something special... Nobody in the locker room or coaching staff want to be great. They want to go beyond that. They REALLY feel as though we can win every single game.

It wasn't what He said but How He said it.

It would greatly benefit ANY fan to watch this video in it's entirety. These fans need to stop the "negative Nancy" type attitudes and expect the same as RR does. I've been preaching this since b4 the season started!!! All this "well realistically, we'll only win 4-6 games" stuff Is CRAP!

Can't wait til Sunday... In the Cam interview they asked him about Gabbart and ^He just kind of smirked like "this dude ain't poo" He went on to say that "He can't wait to see him in action" then licked his lips. The defense will force turnovers on Sunday.

I can't FUGGIN wait!!!!!!!!!

It's crazy how some people could still be unhappy with the guy we have leading our franchise for the next 15 years or so after what we've seen so far.

Nah, what's crazy is we have a team of 53 players and all anyone can talk about is one guy.

I was NEVER a Gabbert fan, I just thought it was ironic how that was left out being Rivera talked a good minute or two about the process.

Nah, what's crazy is we have a team of 53 players and all anyone can talk about is one guy.

In case you haven't noticed, we've lost both games after our rookie QB drove our offense down the field and established leads early. That means most of our 53 isn't holding up their end of the deal, so other than two incredible record setting performances by said rookie QB, what did you want people to talk about?

Jordan Pugh's recent streak of awesomeness?

How about how Jimmy Clausen's been looking in his windbreakers?

Our inability to close out games that we have two-score leads in?

YEAH! GIVE ME MORE OF THAT!!!

Smh... John Fox has a QB that might be more to your liking, so feel free to pull for them and join their message boards.

Ridiculous.

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
