A few thoughts everyone should remember about Sunday

So lemme get this straight. You think Cam, despite all evidence to the contrary, is in love with himself, and then use photographs of him smiling to back up that claim?

I'm out before I before I get myself banned.

That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever read on here. The sad thing is, is that I have said that a time or two before, but it's typically just an exaggeration to convey a point, but this-this might actually be the dumbest thing I have ever read by anyone one any internet forum. I cannot grasp the stupidity of your claim. I find it to be unbelievable that any human could make a remark so completely idiotic, and part of me wonders if you are just trolling us. It's simply remarkable

How is this thread still alive, PFFL has an elementary understanding of this topic pulled from various different sources and he's taking bits from everywhere to fill his own little skewed diagnosis. It's been good for a laugh, at his expense, but it's getting rather tiresome, it's like watching a man with no arms trying to wipe his ass, at first it's funny but then you just feel sad for them when you realize that they just can't do it, no matter how hard they try.

Speaking about guys with no arms and legs, did you hear the one about the 70 year old widow who decides she want a boyfriend before she dies so she advertises for a good man who is the same age (70s) who won't raise a hand to her, won't run out on her, and still has something left in the bed.

A few days later the doorbell rings and a man is sitting there in a wheelchair with no arms and legs. She looks at him perplexed and said" you really want for me to consider you. You have no arms!!!" He just smiled and said " Then I can never raise my hand to you". But she said" You don't have any legs". He smiled again and said "but then I can't run out on you". Then she looks at him with interest and said " But how are you in the sack?" He smiled broadly and sat back saying "I rang the doorbell didn't I???"

First of all why do you continue to get stuck on this idea that Cam Newton must display those exact characteristics, for me to say he's a narcissist?

Once again, a narcissist is a person who has an excessive admiration or is excessively in love with himself, and can display any number of personality traits that are synonymous to those four, but not limited to just those 4.

And yes I do see a person who is very much in love with himself and displays some of those characteristics as well as others that are not listed. You want me to break down each freaking little trait and their synonyms connect them to my observation and make another 1000 word post just so you can pick on one line and then go "this one doesn't fit"? I'm not going to do all that for you.

I mean honestly, if you don't understand why someone like Ochocinco who-changed his name, put gold teeth in his mouth, has repeatedly boasted on countless occasions about his greatness for years, the TV shows, the drama.... who is very much cocky, arrogant even, loves to draw attention to himself, vain, and excessively in love with himself and can quite easily be characterized as a narcissist - I hardly doubt I'm going to be able to give you satisfying "evidence" on why I think Cam Newton is a narcissist.

Like someone else said, I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you too!

PS: You say you are not arguing but that is exactly what you are doing: "Hmm no mention of how him reminding you of those athletes shows "self-importance, egotism, vanity, conceit". This is just spinning for the purpose of arguing when you and I both know damn well, what I'm saying is I think he's a narcissist because he reminds me of other narcissists. This is the kind of thing I am tired of.

See this post proves my point. For the third time I do not care if you think Cam is a narcissists. You directly said you have seen Cam display "self-importance, egotism, vanity, conceit". I would like to know what evidence you have seen of those characteristics. You do not have to prove he is a narcissists to show me why you think he has those characteristics.

P.S. You claim others are taking only part of your quotes and spinning them but that is exactly what you just did. Try and use my entire quote

Add in the fact that your entire post revolved around him being a narcissist which I already stated I am not arguing

I said I am not arguing whether Cam is a narcissist. I am waiting for you to show me that Cam displays those characteristics. That is not me arguing. That is me waiting for you to answer my question.

From an article in the NYT about the removal of N.P.D.(Narcissistic Personality Disorder) from the 2013 edition of the DSM-5:

"Finally, the narcissist, who longs for the approval and admiration of others, is often clueless about how things look from someone else’s perspective. Narcissists are very sensitive to being overlooked or slighted in the smallest fashion, but they often fail to recognize when they are doing it to others."

No joke. But, trust me, I've actually been aware for years, and proud of it.

I already did.

I told you I see those characteristics in Cam. I described those things in my original reply to you. I already told you I would not be able to describe it to "your satisfaction" based on those 4 "exact" words. Now I am certain of it. Your entire reason for asking this, is so you can go one by one and say "I don't see this". Which is exactly what you did. Well I do!

But here:

self-importance: obvious.

vanity: excessive belief in one's own abilities or attractiveness to others; excessive pride in or admiration of one's own accomplishments; synonyms: conceit; egotism; pride; In western art, vanity was often symbolized by a peacock; cocky

egotism: selfishness; self-importance; conceit; boastfulness ; pride.

narcissism: inordinate fascination with oneself; excessive self-love; vanity; self-centeredness; smugness; egocentrism.

You want me to connect the dots for you? Fine: They are all one and the same. Which is why I said when I initially said Cam is a narcissist, I went off of the main concept: someone who is very much in love with themselves and the other athletes whom he reminded me of.

And like I said, I have already described all of those things when I gave you examples of particular actions, accomplishments, comments, or images that describe those characteristics in my original reply to you. But when I give you a specific example such as when he makes a particular comment that I believe to be boastful, vain, arrogant, elitist....you're going to copy it, argue it, and say oh...."I don't really see this".

Like for example let's take this:

In Western art, vanity was often symbolized by a peacock. Once again:

I see a peacock.:D Do you see a peacock in Cam? All you're going to do is go...."mmm, I don't see it. it's just "swag".

And that's fine.

Care to explain how him smiling shows vanity? I am not going to argue with you about your opinion, I am simply interested in an explanation

Smiling, alone, doesn't show vanity. The entire way he carries himself shows vanity.

You keep asking me, but can I ask you the same question? Can you show me someone who is displaying vanity?

Chef17 if pffl wants to saturate himself in his own ignorance this badly don't try to stop him

The thing is I'm not trying to. I have repeatedly said I want to know how Cam displays those traits. If you want to use him leading the team so quickly as evidence, then I would like to know that is proof. I can just as easily say the opposite. But there is no point if I don't explain why I think that.
