A few thoughts everyone should remember about Sunday

I think above everything else, we all know that our team, even without 52 and 58, generally has more talent around the board on offense and defense. But I think that if we are going to win this must-win game..the Cats should remember the following:

1. I know he hasn't so far, but Cam is getting more hype in the past 3 days than he has since the season started...he needs to keep his head on straight and keep being the composed QB we know he is. Don't eat up the hype too much!!

2. If we can run the football so Cam doesn't have to throw the ball 50 times, we will WIN...there just isn't any stopping this offense if it's balanced..especially if we can get it in to the fuging endzone.

aaannndd 3. This team is going to have a gameplan. They've seen the film of Cam lighting up 2 teams now, at the end of the day, they are going to focus in on how to keep him from scorching them in any way possible. Also, they are going to find out how to beat this defense

I have a feeling that Gabbert isn't going to come out and try to beat Carolina deep, if they can get MJD some solid carries and get the short passing game going, they might be able to drive down the field rather easily.

I think this game is going to be a shootout..so let's hope Carolina brings a better gun.

You should have told him this before he just discounted every Elite QB in the NFL in a very slick way: "This is no HOF league" ;)

Cam's going to be cool and poised, but I get the sense he's not the type to be afraid to tell Brady...."You're my hero, and I respect you, but I'm going to kick your ass, not kiss it"

Cam doesn't crave the spotlight, but he doesn't shy away from it either. I know it's weird for us to have a leader like this...but yeah, he's going to end up a little on the cocky side. I can already see that in him. Wait until he strings 3 wins back to back.

You think he has haters now? Just wait.

That is a fact. Right now, Cam is getting a lot of praise. After he wins several in a row then eventually has a subpar game (for him), the haters will be out in full force ripping him. Jealousy is pathetic, but jealousy is building in people right now with Cam, just like last year.

Would be awesome if we win man. Can't wait to watch espn after we win a game.

Let me go ahead and recap it for u ahead of time... Cam throws for over 400 again, we get the W, D did well in shutting down MJD... Running game coming along, but still not where we want it.

BUT it will be said that we played a rookie QB, with no real threats other than MJD... And the real test as to whether we're pretenders or contenders will be the following week against Breezy and the Saints. We'll always be the under dog against premier teams and rightfully so.

If you've been a fan for more than 2 seconds than you already know that historically speaking, we exceed expectations by a lot when playing that role.

Either way we're gonna do big things this year! Quote me on it...

    • Same... With the personnel the Niners had, that defense could have been historically good in the right hands. Under Wilks they were certainly good, they didn't quite rise to that level. Honestly, I see Wilks kinda like I see Rivera: fantastic person, decent head coach. Skill wise, phenomenal DB coach, so-so DC. His greatest strength is his leadership. Hard to find many better in that department. In the Xs and Os / execution area though, not as good. Bottom Line: Wilks is the sort of coach that needs a staff that excels in those aspects of the game where he's weaker. But, like Rivera, I don't know that he scouts assistants very well. That as much as anything might be why he's not in the NFL now.
    • Clearly the best outcome for us is a Giants W. A spot or two difference in the 4th round is inconsequential. Just look at the trade value charts. A spot or two at the top of the 1st means a LOT. A spot or two in the mid-rounds? Virtually nothing.
    • Agree. I don't think I have ever heard him say anything positive, at any time, about the Panthers. Best expectation is no mention at all.
