Yes, Davis has torn ACL for the third time & yes, he will be released before next season starts. However, the question is should we offer him a job as a LB coach/trainer? I'm not sure if another team would offer him a contract after what has happened since his first ACL injury. Sam Mills became the LB coach during our '03 Super Bowl run & look how great we did. The only difference is Davis is still under 30 but he's an awesome leader

I think he should be released. Then I wouldn't have a problem resigning him for the veteran minimum should he wish to return. Nobody else will offer him anything so it will be a take it or retire offer. I would like to see him try to return but I don't want the team to waste another penny (above the minimum) on somebody who never plays. We would be better served investing that money elsewhere.

If someone gives him a chance it will be for minimum salary...not worth it. He could end up crippled....

Think of how bad this sucks for him, he was so close to getting a Huge OLB contract when he tore his ACL the first time. He's made good money, but nowhere near what he could have.

Why does someone like him get injury prone then you have a guy like Peppers who never gets hurt.

TD will retire imo. His twitter post about the injury pretty much said as much to me.

As for being a coach... well I'm not so sure he can coach the things that made him so good. Maybe I'm wrong and he has a lot to offer as a coach though.

yeah put he also put on twitter later that night that he loves the game too much to hang it up and him and beason are gonna rehab together. i believe we give him 1 more chance if he wants it on an incentive based deal. low risk high reward
