Last season we got calls for both Smitty and DWill before the deadline and Hurney refused to even hear out offers so I'd say there is basically zero chance this actually happens.

Smith is part of Cam's development.

Smitty has said his family wants to be here......and his mindset of the game and his role has changed.

His mindset has changed, but not his role. He's by far the #1 target in our passing game, and should be. The guy is still a monster out there and it would be nice to have him around as this team progresses, which I think will be fairly quickly.

I had been in the trade Steve Smith to give the guy a chance to play for someone worth a sh*t camp, but he has a promising young team around him, seems invigorated by it and happy to be here for a variety of reasons. At this point it would be a shame to see him go.

And more to the point, I doubt we would get Steve Smith value in a trade.
