Matt cassel trade vs peppers trade.

We all know by now the current meeting going on panther and pats for the trade for peppers. Let see former Matt cassel played only one good season with a bunch of top WR in the league. But yet NE was able to get 2rd pic out of chiefs. Not note this point that Matt has not prove he can play a whole season with a normal offensive line and a bunch of normal WR's. But yet the pats got a early 2nd rd pic for him. Yet matt is still unproven QB. Yes he had one Good season with NE. But derek anderson of the cleveland browns had one good season 2 years ago. But this year anderson was a disappiont. That might happen to Matt with the cheifs. But yet NE got a early 2nd from the chiefs for a unproven QB. Now to peppers trading dealing going on right now between pats and carolina. Now the pats are trying to hand us 34 pic chiefs gave them. Yet unlike matt peppers had proven to a great player at his spot on the team. Yes he took had a bad year in 2007 where he only got 2 sacks that year. But remember peppers that year became sick during camp and the preseaon and he wasn't feeling right that whole season. But yet peppers came back this year and got like what 14 sacks. A major comeback from 2 years ago. So in all peppers has proven hisself to be a dependable player. That saying NE does not deserve peppers for a crappy 2nd pic. Peppers is still young and fast and is one of the top defense players in the league. Peppers is worth a least 1st round this year and a 1st next year. So :dita: NE and their cheappa$$ 2nd rd pic. Take it and stick it up your A$$:reddevil: I say keep peppers until another team is willing to pay for peppers.:chillpill::ihih:

I mostly agree; if all you can get for Peppers is a 2nd rounder. I say keep him and let him play under the one year deal. That should motivate him enough to get pretty good production. Perhaps another team will come along and offer more. I've said in other posts, last year's Allen deal should be Carolina's floor, that was a #1 and two #3's.

"the next offer is always the best offer".

I understand, what do you do when the offers quit comming, or Pep is a hold out in TC and we cut him just to get our money back?

When is enough?

There is no EASY solution, no matter what you have to do what is best for the team at that time.

We have no #1 pick and now have a chance to have the next best thing 2 #2's, with one of them being a very LATE #1 pick, which is what we would have had if we won the SUPER BOWL anyways.

With a non-cap year possible in the making, getting the #34 pick is not that bad for a player who thinks soo high of himself.
