Rivera said "balanced offense", but it was pointed out at that time that his idea of "balance" wasn't what most people thought. Rivera wanted a team that had the ability to attack via run or pass, whichever was working better.

So far, teams have been way more effective defending against our run game than our pass attack. I attribute a lot of that to O-Line issues, and the sad truth is that may not be fixed this season.

Give it time though. And till then, if we can continue to pass like we have, we'll still be in the games.

Moving the ball in the redzone is the problem. Running the ball more effective will help in redzone situations.

Ive seen chud do this alot, not sure why, but he calls the exact same play back to back. Sometimes just to the other side. If I can see this from my recliner, I'm sure the opposing team can see it as well. Chud needs to quit that crap real quick.

Not surprising the pass protection packages are further along then the blocking schemes. We'll need to get some more balance, but I understand the lack of calls as Gross does, guys just aren't getting on their assignments quick enough.

and Double Troubles success as a fearsome duo has been when this team wasn't balanced. The record breaking season in 2009 is not how you win in the NFL.

You know I honestly don't think it works that way and that's why we haven't seen it....with the other reason being we were down both times late in the game.

But I think that while you can use the run to set up the pass for later in the game, you can't use the pass to set up the run for late in the game the same way. You can use the pass to set up the run for the 2nd and third quarters, but if it's not there, it's just not there. The run is almost always cast aside in favor of the pass during 4th quarters. It's just how the game works.

Besides, if you managed to use the pass to wear defenses out....then you're best plan of attack is STILL passing.

You want to pass when the other defense is too worn out to chase you, and can't keep up to the point where they're blowing coverages.
