I have higher standards for QBs' behavior than I do for WRs' behavior because of what a QB is supposed to be on a team...a LEADER. Whining to the press ad infinitum is not on the "good things" list. Somewhere in all the endless Cutler threads, I have posted numerous examples of why I have never thought much of him as a person/leader. I will try to find it.

He is asked the same question numerous times a day ad infinitum.

His answer has always been the same. It's not like he is calling radio stations and scheduling press conferences.

THAT is whining to the press. If the press is asking, it's called maintaining your position.

Cutler HAS A HEALTH ISSUE that CAN affect his play.

I don't have diabetes but managing insulin is no step for a stepper. Every waking hour of these guys lives are regimented during the season. His diet, exercise, and medications are just part of the program.

Yes Meat I agree 100% that Smitty has been a problem child, I wasn't trying to say he wasn't.

But Smitty has achieved far more than Cutler has in the league performance wise and though we may not like it, that's how ALL NFL teams operate. If Colbert had punched someone in full view of his teammates and coaches, he'd have been cut the next day I bet.

One of my problems with Cutler is that he doesn't seem to have a good head on his shoulders, he doesn't know how to handle situations with the press. I don't like to see that from a QB.

He was lied to by his boss. that is fact and it is the only thing that gives him a pass to complain and request out in my book

the other thing is that he looked good compared to jake. Caarolina is the one place where you can go and be assured not be one of those press guys. It just doesn't happen here. Maybe in Denver where they are frustrated and have been in a downward spiral after so many years of being a contender it can blow up but nobody is gonna blow up here. Not in my opinion. Hence no worries there. We don't even know the whole story. Don't be naive to what the media can create.
