Ole Pat thinks we should do it.

I know the media can create things/exaggerate them. I am talking about stuff I heard him say with my own ears. Carr threw people under the bus, past and present all the time via the Charlotte media if your point was that it doesn't happen in Carolina.

I don't recall Carr probably because I never read anything he said after 5 games into that season. he also probably felt he had nothing to lose. He also is gone.

He has said what? He is pissed off that he was lied to by his own boss. He is pissed off that he was being shopped. Outside of using those answers about a hundred times he hasn't been posturing too much.

I agree that it would be better if he was out of the press but him in the press is the ONLY thing that makes this conversation happen. If he was not there, we would not have this as a topic.

Negotiating through the press is a bad idea...period. It usually ruins things.

You think Marty was overjoyed to hear Pep and his agent doing such?

Yes Meat I agree 100% that Smitty has been a problem child, I wasn't trying to say he wasn't.

But Smitty has achieved far more than Cutler has in the league performance wise and though we may not like it, that's how ALL NFL teams operate. If Colbert had punched someone in full view of his teammates and coaches, he'd have been cut the next day I bet.

One of my problems with Cutler is that he doesn't seem to have a good head on his shoulders, he doesn't know how to handle situations with the press. I don't like to see that from a QB.

Are you referring to other situations, or just this blow up over his coach trying to trade him?

the recent stuff..I haven't kept up with him that much prior. I know about the tiff with Rivers but I think they were equally at fault and to me that shows that he has a pair more than anything else. I don't fault him for any of that.

To put it into perspective I would rather us stick with our current staff and take the 2nd from the patriots and go Dline though.

AK calling him a crybaby and making fun of his "diabetic ass" is what I really took issue with.

To me neither of those argument are relevant if pepwanted to go to Denver for Jay.

Ok which one of you guys did this?

This deal would be even sweeter if you can get denver to take delhomme as well....trade cutler and picks for pep/dellhomme....any takers? good for both sides....a unspoiled, team first veteren QB on a team sorely lacking any kinda of leadership(+ Pep doesnt bring that) and you get defensive help with Pep.

Do it and then cut a 'project' QB....then cut ties with all are unproductive WRs (jarret, carter, robin son, etc) and go get Holt

Cutler wasn't lied to by his boss. Just the opposite.

Cutler had already asked for a trade when they let his QB coach go. Then when the news came out that they talked about trading for Cassel, he threw a "how dare they talk about trading me" fit in the press about it.

In other words, he's a colossal drama queen.
