NFL.com Peppers/Patriots *possible* update

Borges was fired from the Globe for plagiarism BTW, which I assume you knew.

I said Reiss and Gasper because they aren't homers but they aren't haters either.

I vaguely remember the story but remember thinking based on what I heard it was questionable. Admittedly never went in-depth on it though. I'd have to look it up again.

Micheal Smith said that He thinks it's slim to none the trade will happen. For two reasons, the draft pick is not enough for the Panthers and that the Patriots don't pay the player what he wants, they want players who want championships not money.

On what grounds?

Mostly because of what I put in bold. Which I translated: his trade value to us is more than a 2nd round pick. It seemed to me that you looked at it from the FO point of view (trade value=franchised high pick DE in his prime, not whatever he wants to play) where most posters to that point had not. They seemed to be thinking of it as a fire sale.

Well up until I read the article from Fox Sports in the other thread by Cyclonus, I didn't realize what a horrible situation Pep is putting us in by not signing the tender. He is being such a dick... By not signing it we're both stuck where we are. We can't do anything without his approval, and he can't go anywhere without ours.

It's his way of trying to force a release. I just didn't understand the magnitude of it until reading that article.

It's his way of keeping us from trading him to the Lions or another crappy team..... Nothing more.
