Smitty will be on Jim Rome (radio) tomorrow

Does anyone else find it funny the same guys(not Jim Rome in particular) who ragged on Smitty for the past two seasons, saying he was washed up and calling NYG Smith "The Real Steve Smith" are now the ones singing his praises and have completely forgotten about the other Smith?

Gotta love the media. A good quarterback does wonders for a team.

Cowherd definitely has a gimmick, but he's not on Rome's level.. Rome's show is just a huge soap opera.

Cowherd at least makes a huge attempt to back up what he's saying with reason.

An 80%-90% of what Cowherd says I agree. I might not start out agreeing with him but his reasoning is pretty solid and convincing most times.

BTW...he was talking with Peter King today and he started off saying how he has never been more wrong about anything as he was about Cam Newton.

But then Cowherd will go on to "praise" soccer, and tell us all Romo is the best thing going in the NFL today. He knows how to push buttons.

of course he pushes buttons, but he backs up what he's saying. you can't disagree with his stats, you can only try to derail his point..

the problem most people have is they can't distinguish setting aside "pushing buttons" while taking into consideration a different point of view backed up with reasoning (often times, stats).

I may not agree with someone on a topic, but show me you have some sort of rational thought process and we're good..

right there with you.. and it seems like he's mentioned being wrong about Cam every day this week.. you would think people would appreciate that in a world full of opinions that rarely get questioned and called out..

Cowherd is much more a business guy. He only cares about the big markets and looks at things from a business stand point, which at times he can have some pretty interesting ideas and opinions about.

As far as a talent evaluator though? Pffttt.

I loathe Jim Rome though, at least his show and on-air personality.
