Those guys are funny I can't believe all of the things they are saying. I guess sunday the panthers are just going to have to show them how good we are. I know our record says 0-2 but we are nothing like last years team. I'm looking forward to this game being a stepping stone to get our first win.

but you don't take plays away

Yeah... that's like saying "You take away that miracle catch by David Tyree and the Patriots get the 19-0 record.".

When blown plays happen, your defense just lost the battle, usually at the cost of points. You don't just ignore that element going forward. Rivera damn sure isn't.

"It won't be Cam. He won't throw for 400 against us."

I like this trend. Fans of the opposing team look at Cam's past performance and say "yeah but that won't happen to us because...." Then Cam comes out first drive and punches them in the mouth. Happened to AZ, happened to GB, and now the jaggywires think they're immune. I'm not saying Cam will throw 400 every game, but I would love it if people underestimated him every game this season.

Beside 3 blown plays by our D, he did not do that hot. You take 3 blown plays away and he had only about 120 yards passing.

I'm not sure I buy the logic of taking the blown plays away. I mean, he did make those plays, didn't he? He saw the blown coverage and made the play happen. To me, he deserves the credit for that. The real concern shouldn't be that validity of plays made on blown coverages, it should be on the coverage itself.

We have had 4 long plays that burned this defense. 2 per game (plus the one ST issue vs. AZ which seems to have been fixed). But the blown coverages in the backfield are glaring and will likely continue.

I appreciate that we are no longer in the Fox era and are not playing the old Trgo "bend-don't-break" style, but MAN did we get broken a number of times this year! Maybe it wasn't a superb game for Rogers (although he didn't turn the ball over), but it was still good enough to beat the Panthers.

There's absolutely NO reason to think that things will change against Jax. They are not a great team right now, but until we win a game, I'm not going to assume anything. They may have a rookie starter, but so do we.

Admittedly, the Jags look beatable, and I'd like to think that if we have an offensive day like we've had in the last 2 weeks, that we would win handily, but I don't believe in writing them off out of hand or dismissing them because of their situation.

We're in a situation, too, and they are still playing .500 ball.

Yea, but one thing is for damn sure. Gabbert will not throw 50 yards down the field. His arm streight is pretty weak. He's very accurate within 15 yards.

I don't understand the Jag's fans logic saying that Cam couldn't do it against them. I understand the GB fans when they said it, their secondary is typically pretty incredible. Can't say the same for the Jags. Rashean Mathis has not been an elite corner in 4-5 years. And the rest of the secondary is young and not overly gifted. Add to all that that it is unlikely that their D-line is going to get that much pressure on Cam....

Logic =/= Jag's Fanbase's Friend.
