Yeah I was going to say, only year Carolina has ever beat Jacksonville was in 2003. Mark Brunell's last game in Jacksonville and Shooter McGavin's first as Head Coach.

Head to head match up:

1996 Jags 24 Panthers 14

1999 Jags 22 Panthers 20

2003 Panthers 24 Jags 23

2007 Jags 37 Panthers 6

3-1 Jacksonville.

3-2 you forgot about tomorrow :D

should be a good game, not a blowout like most of your fellow fans think. i have no idea who will win or how the rookies will fare against each other.

Have you read jaguars.com? They are predicting a blowout well beyond what I've seen here.

Panthers 27

Jaguars 57

Jags score 6 TD (through air - of course, by Blaine)

Scobee kicks 5 FG

Jags play arena ball all day on offense & winds up being more than enough.

Gabbert's line ends up as something like 39-47, 375 yards, 6 TD, 1 INT

MoJo - 10 carries, 104 yards.

Karim will chip in with 2 carries, himself.

Newton: 5-37, for 33 yards & 3 INTs

Next week hes gonna say theyre the best 0-3 team hes ever seen. Offense they just have Steve Smith and Shockey, on defense they just have 1 good DE. The Jags weakness is their offense which is going against the Panthers defense which isnt good at all. All the Jags have to do on defense is cover Smith which Mathis could do, and cover Shockey. Basically you have to make Carolina run the ball, which they have had no success what so ever. Cam Newton doesnt scare me, when he started getting rattled against Green Bay, he started throwing picks trying to force the ball to Smith. If we can play man and we hit Newton, Mathis can get himself a couple INTs.

I'm sorry...but lolwut? Shockey isn't even our best TE. I could pull more ridiculousness. I can see being confident in your team, but being ignorant is another thing.

Mike Thomas is good (a poor man's Steve Smith just not nearly as good) but everyone else is unproven. They desperately need a big play making WR and I see them drafting him next year for Gabbert to throw to.

They are not a passing team though, it's the MJD show on offense. Ball control offense etc. It worked for them in Week 1 against the Titans but against the Jets they tried to get cute and try to throw the ball more when they never had to because MJD averaged 4.9 yards a carry and was running through the Jets 8 and 9 man fronts. They thought McCown was better than he was obviously and payed the price LOL.

possibly. but he is fresh off of going against Revis Island so the old "warm up with heavier weight to make it easier later" factor might come into play. Nothing at all against Gamble, great player, but nobody is on Revis' level in this league.

Does Gamble shadow the team's best WR usually? Or are they like Jacksonville and just play their side of the field and whoever lines up against them?

Here's my favorite prediction on the Jag's board...

Posted Yesterday, 02:18 AM

Gabbert 23-36 247 yards 2 TD 2 INT's

MJD 140 yards 2 TD's

Josh Scobee 3 xp 2-2 FG

Jaguars 27

Panthers 24

Guessing this guy wasn'i a math major.

He said Scobee 3xp so that means 3 touchdowns. Gabbert throws one to unknown player, one to MJD. MJD runs for one score and Scobee kicks 2 field goals. 7+7+7+3+3=27
