Lol at Jacksonville fans

Jags fans jealous of the Panthers being a more successful franchise?

Jacksonville Jaguars overall record: 134-124-0, 5-6 in playoffs, 6 playoff appearances, 2 division titles, 0 conference titles

Carolina Panthers overall record: 119-139-0, 6-4 in playoffs, 4 playoff appearances, 3 division titles, 1 conference title

Panthers have a waaaaay worse overall record but do have a slightly better playoff resume. Both have 2 AFC/NFC conference championship appearances, Jags are 0-2, Panthers 1-1 and 0-1 in the Super Bowl.

Honestly, neither is more successful than the other, Jags win overall record by a huge margin not even close, Panthers have 1 Super Bowl appearance and a slightly better playoff record (6-4 to 5-6) yet have 2 less playoff appearances than Jacksonville so it's pretty washed.

It's funny how no one knows anything about Jacksonville but they are the smallest market in the league and that's obviously why. 134-124 to 119-139 is a huge margin though. Historically the Jags have the 15th best winning percentage including playoffs, The Carolina Panthers? 24th. You guys are way off.

Panthers have been to 3 NFCCGs. 1996. 2003. 2005.

Give up, it took me a whole month for them to get their act together so I could post.

Eh I just read anyways. Nothing I post is going to change their mind about Jimmy Clausen v2.0

Anyways I'm gonna stick this here instead of making a new thread.

I don't like Gabbert for a lot of reasons. Mostly being he doesn't appear to have that explosive play potential (20+ and 40+ yard plays) unless it a quick route and the receiver does most of it. The lack of explosive plays is a pretty good indicator that things could be rough for him in the NFL. All elite QB's have this potential and do it. Game in and game out.

He cracks under pressure WAY too easy and starts running from the pocket at any visible sign of pressure. So in other words, his pocket presence just sucks. I watched a few college games of his during the time Carolina was courting him, and I was beyond unimpressed. I was hoping we wouldn't take him as he just looks like a total game manager who either can't or doesn't have the confidence for big plays. In fact I read an article on him that says he was 30% at plays greater than 15 yards. We already have that kinda guy and that's Mr. Clausen.

Now I do hope he works out for you in Jacksonville. You guys deserve a franchise QB just as much as Carolina or anyone else does in the league. I just hope he doesn't work out for you tomorrow =o)~

I dislike him very much as a Jaguar fan. I will be rooting for the Panthers tomorrow in Panther gear. Clausen was money on deep balls in college but he threw to Floyd and Tate.

They're slow to bring on new people during the season. It's a PG board unlike this one. In a way I envy that. I don't know why it's such a stretch to think a 1-1 team can beat an 0-2 team. Not saying Jags will win, but yall don't really scare us. Anyhow, looking forward to the game. Everywhere I've been around your town tonight I'm seeing Jag fans. Not bad for a team with "no fan"s. Where going to have a presence at your stadium tomorrow. Here's to a good game between top 10 rooks. I would have never pegged this game to be so interesting 6 months ago. May JStew have the game of his life! (FFB) But may the Jags win!

If you're going to count preseason games, Newton already has a victory.

Yeah I was going to say, only year Carolina has ever beat Jacksonville was in 2003. Mark Brunell's last game in Jacksonville and Shooter McGavin's first as Head Coach.

Head to head match up:

1996 Jags 24 Panthers 14

1999 Jags 22 Panthers 20

2003 Panthers 24 Jags 23

2007 Jags 37 Panthers 6

3-1 Jacksonville.
