Just to compare to recent ROY's. Thought this was pretty cool.

Last year's Rookie of the Year, Sam Bradford. Through two weeks

It was a comparison of the last 2 ROY QB's in there first two week. You douche. I dont know why people have to be tough guys on the forums.

:coolgleamA:

How is that being a tough guy? I just said that those guys didn't win the award based on the first two games. If you felt like that was an attack, that's your problem not mine.

Don't you think it's fairly obvious to the rest of us that they didn't win the ROY in the first two weeks?

Thanks for the OP, I think it's fun to compare our players to one's that preceed them.

Andy Dalton has a win and no INTS

And who did he play against?

The Browns and Broncos. He also has less total passing yards (413) than either of Cam's games. And in the game he did win, Benson ran 25 times for 121 yards. But I am sure that had nothing to do with it because that is how great dalton is right? He threw for 10/15 for 81 yards and a TD. Cam Newton looked that good in the first quarter against the superbowl champs with no run game.

Please, come up with a better argument than that. Sheesh.

/end rant.

    • Marshon Lattimore deal heating up apparently
    • Here's my thoughts on it.   Breakdown is good. Balanced and legit like a coach would break down film.  Bryce has clearly put in the work. I think his benching may have been the best thing for him. Let him internalize and see the team be led properly, see a QB do things in the same offense that we haven't seen Bryce consistently try (like taking shots down field) so he can get his head away from "just protect the ball and don't mess up" which is where I think he was those first 2 weeks.  Bryce could've gone for like 250 yards and at least one more TD with no picks if those two letdowns didn't happen on the deep balls. He had a legitimate NFL qb good day. Albeit against a bad defense but still, good play is good play.   Bryce can cement his job back with another win and another strong outing.  I think the screen volume was due to the constant heavy blitz looks. We need to do less of that and more hitting weak spots on quick hits outside and over the middle. We saw some of that but more is needed in place of so many screens.  Bryce may be in the process of actual development. Nobody needs to be overly excited yet, because he can still fug this up. But ball is clearly in his court. Play well and put the questions to bed.
    • This was a steal we got back more for Mango then we did for Johnson.
