The Cardinals last year started out the season 3-2 and ended up losing 8 out of their last 10 (including to us). The Bengals started out 2-1 with their one loss being to New England, then went on to lose 11 out of their last 13. The Broncos started out 2-2 before losing 10 of their last 12. So yeah, I think it is a bit premature to already declare ourself the worst team in the league after 2 weeks.

Has everyone forgotten that Luck is a redshirt junior and can opt for another year at Stanford. Whomever has the #1 pick will be in the same uneasy postion as we were this year, waiting on his decision.

I am as big an Andrew Luck fan as you will find and would have loved to have hade him as our QB of the future.

With that said...

Barring either a meltdown of epic proportions, a career altering injury or some other wacky, unforeseen cirumstance, this team does not nees to think about using a high pick on a quarterback fot a while.

I heard part of the reason Luck stayed another year at Stanford was because he didn't want to leave his girlfriend. It would be toxic for any team to sign a head case with his priorities so far out of whack. It was a blessing in disguise for us that he didn't come out last year.

The OP was correct, we are a player in the Luck sweepstakes, assuming he comes out. We wouldn't pick him, but we might trade the pick, if we happen to get it. BUt I don't think we will get it anyway. We certainly look better than the Chiefs.
