Merriman was suspended for steriod use. And one of my really good friends was a starting LB at JCSU and I know for he fact he took steroids. He had to quit playing football because there was nothing left inside his knees.

Actually, yes he was. He signed his 2010 RFA tender which carried over into 2011 because he didn't accrue a year of service last year.
