So much misinformation on TD's contract in this thread.

TD was under contract for this year under the RFA tender that he signed in 2010. Hurney tore that contract up and gave TD a new deal. I love TD the player and the man, but that was fugging retarded Hurney.

and you just add to it, yes Hurney did give him a contract rather then the RFA tender but only the first yr was fully guaranteed at 8 million, so yea Hurney gave him an extra 3 to 4 mil then if he signed the tender but it wont hurt us in future yrs. Unless for some reason we decide to keep him then Hurney really has lost it.

You are 100% correct with your assessment. Constant knee injuries are a tell sign from steroid use. I'm not saying he was on the juice, but you have a valid point.

He will be cut at the end of the year. The 7 million or whatever pro-rated portion left of his signing bonus will count against subsequent cap years (possibly all next year).
