Thomas Davis tears ACL

So much misinformation on TD's contract in this thread.

TD was under contract for this year under the RFA tender that he signed in 2010. Hurney tore that contract up and gave TD a new deal. I love TD the player and the man, but that was fugging retarded Hurney.

If you don't think that there was an injury clause in that contract, then it is you that is retarded.

Anybody know the language in his contract as far as his contract being terminated for another ACL tear or if he couldn't play? I swear there was a clause in there for just this reason. This is a huge, huge, loss.

He gets his 8 mil this year and is off the books after that, I really feel bad for TD he worked so hard to get back the past two years. Good thing he went back and got that degree in the offseason.

Yes, and under the new contract there are specific clauses to protect the team if TD cannot play due to an ACL injury specifically. He'll get paid this year, and be off the books next.
